Inisha Nunka Eco-Reserve Cabins

Take it easy at this unique & tranquil getaway. Cabana's Inisha Nunka (Grandmother's Mother Earth) is a Shuar family eco-reserve in the middle of the community Buena Esperanza, 20 minutes outside of the city of Maca's. It is pristine rainforest for healing, ceremony, adventure and rest. While you stay in a Traditional Shuar Home in the jungle you can enjoy the river, canoeing, eco- trails, jungle treks, ceremonies, camping, mud-baths, Shuar cultural experiences, plant medicine healings & more! The space This is a an eco-reserve where we as a family have built traditional Shuar homes to give guests a true Shuar Amazonian cultural experience. Your stay is along the Yurqipa river with beachfront, and ancient clay our ancestors used to detox our skin, bodies and minds. While our cabanas are "rustic" and resemble more of a clamping experience we can offer you delicious traditional meals, expeditions, and cultural experiences with our family + friends. We are part of a larger foundation working to better our community and peoples called Inisha Nunka and are hoping to booster economic activity for our community by improving eco-tourism in the region! Come watch the sunset along the river, walk through our ancient forests, listen to the birds sing, monkeys jump and watch the giant fireflies as they glow through the evening. We will tell you Shuar stories, and offer personal healings as well as plant medicine ceremonies at additional costs. You will also always have two Chiriap family members staying with you during your stay to make sure everything goes smoothly! Guest access This is large 75 hectare or so reserve you will be able to walk the grounds with a local tour guide to show you around at no additional cost! Other things to note Please note, that we do not have wifi. We have a solar panel for charging your phones and electronics, and will provide clean drinking water. Its a very natural place so offer free showers in the river!
