The setting remains wild and beautiful, untouched by pollution. Guest access The different valleys of the island and their Maori arheological remains can be accessed by 4x4 car which can be rented on location, or by hiking with a guide. A small museum celebrating Gauguin and the cemetary where Paul Gauguin and Jacques Brel are buried. Also possibility to do scuba diving and deep sea fishing.
