Stoops House

Stoops House is family-run guest accommodation located in Coolattin, Co. Wicklow. Stoops is surrounded by 2 acres of landscaped private gardens & provides secluded woodside accommodation for large groups in a rural setting. The house can accommodate up to 16 guests comfortably & is ideal for families and groups wanting a relaxing break. Mountain & valley views can be had to the rear of the property while the forest is directly at the front, keen walkers can enjoy miles of forest walks. The space Stoops House is perfect for small or large groups wishing for self catering accommodation. We have 8 ensuite bedrooms that accommodate up to 16 people sharing. Guests enjoy Stoops House exclusively, there are no other guests. There is a large lounge / TV room with sofas to congegrate and relax with space for children to play games. This is a log burner that is on during the winter months. There is also a large breakfast / dining room where guests can dine. Outside to the rear, accessible through the dining room doors are two areas to congregate; A smoking shelter where we ask all guests to only smoke and dispose of all butts in the metal bin provided. We also have a moated bar where people can enjoy an alfresco drink, we ask that this area be smoke free. We have a large kitchen for guest usage, we have most items guests need to cook, eat and drink, just ask for details. The hob is induction, there are two fridges and a dishwasher. Outside the large garden with grass lawns, plenty of space to stroll around. There is a pond to the front of the house and a moat around the bar, it is imperitive parents and guardiand supervise children at all times. Guest access All spaces within the house can be accessed unless marked "private or staff only" which we would please ask you to follow. A dishwasher is located in the kitchen. Other things to note We ask that guests do not take alcohol into the bedrooms or rooms with carpets including the stairs and landing, due to the danger of spillages, i.e red wine on carpets etc. It is illegal to smoke or vape inside the house and we provide a shelter at the rear doors for guests, should they want to smoke. Metal bins are provided and we ask that cigarette end disposal be put in there please. We have fish in the moated bar and pond and children especially love to throw stones in to water, or at the fish, it’s very important nothing is thrown into the water please. Please also supervise young children around the ponds. The house is stricktly for the private use of individuals staying at the accommodation only, no other people are allowed in the property or grounds. As a rule bedroom, bathroom and en-suite doors have keys removed, this prevents children taking keys out, or locking themselves in the rooms and having to force doors in, and is a safety policy. Should you require a key to lock your door please ask on arrival. Generally groups and families are all known to each other and there is no issues and doors need not be closed.
