Casa de la Tortuga is located on Playa Blanca, 3 minutes away from the International Airport, 10 minutes from Barra de Potosi and 15 minutes from Zihutanejo. You will fall in love with a different stunning sunset every evening. During the sea turtle nesting season, be part of a "once in a lifetime" sea turtle hatchling release event held every evening. Guests will walk by the pool area as they make their way to the Sea Turtle Rescue Center located directly behind the beach house. We are located just 3 minutes from the Iztapa/Zihuatanejo International Airport. This beach home rental has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, full kitchen, dining room, living room, A/C, cable TV, WIFI, exclusive use of the pool and private balcony. The fully equipped kitchen includes full size refrigerator and stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker and a water dispenser with purified drinking water. A charcoal grill on the patio is also available to our guests. There is a flat-screen TV with satellite channels in the living room. WIFI available. There are ceiling fans and A/C in every room. The beach home is located adjacent to, and is a part of, the Campamento Tortuguero Ayotlcalli, where you can learn about the sea turtles that nest in the area and participate in baby sea turtle releases or on night patrols looking for nesting sea turtles. It's an experience you will never forget We are 9 km from the village of Barra de Potosí, 13 km from Zihuatanejo centro, 22 km from Ixtapa, and a 2.6 km drive from the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport. Public transit vans pass by regularly making it easy for travelers without a car to visit the nearby towns. At the southern end of our beach is the village of Barra de Potosí where you will find lots of restaurants, small stores, calm ocean water, a small surf break (seasonally), and a lagoon that is excellent for bird watching, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Walking north on the beach to Playa Larga, you will find more beachfront enramada type restaurants. English and Spanish spoken. Owners live on the 2nd floor.
