Casa Akumal "Place of Turtles" is located on Playa El Amatal,located 40 minutes from San Salvador and 25 min from International Airport. Playa El Amatal is not a private beach but its very secluded. Enjoy the tranquility! The best part is Casa Akumal is only one step away from the beach! This beach is known for sea turtle nesting through the months of Sept-Oct. You might see one! Surf City (El Tunco) is 25 min away, where you can enjoy the restaurants, surf spots and night life! The space Our rooms are basic and spacious. The house has 3 bedrooms which consists of 7 twin beds and one King size bed.The house has 2 full bathrooms inside the house and one bathroom outside. After 10 guest there is a $20 dollar fee per extra guest, 12 guest max. We maintain the rooms very clean and always fresh linens. We do have air conditioners in all the bedrooms. All other rooms have two standing fans and ceiling fans with windows to open or close. The Kitchen is an outdoor kitchen with stove, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, plates, utensils and refrigerator. We ask that you leave them clean , dry and stored in the respective place after use. Our check in is at 3pm and check out at 12pm. Our latest check in time is 9pm, due to safety reasons for our host. Once you have checked in Roberto Carlos will give you the information so you can leave and enter the property as you wish during your stay. We also accept later check in's due to travel or late flights, just let us know ahead of time. Not guaranteed but If booking schedules permit, guest can check in early or check out later for a fee of $20 per every extra hour. Again it depends how much we are booked. We provide local TV channels and WiFi. The living room and the main bedroom have flat screen TV's. Please be courteous and take care of the furniture, appliances,decor and linen. Any stains or damage will be charged to the guest's account. WE ENCOURAGE GUEST TO ALWAYS READ THE CANCELLATION POLICY . WE CANT MAKE CHANGES IF YOU HAVE A LAST CHANGE OF MIND. THANK YOU Guest access Our guest will have access to all the house, except for our storage area. The house is located in front of the beach so you will have direct access to the beach. THANK YOU Other things to note The main road to get there is CARRETERA LITORAL and you will have to exit where you see the sign that says AMATAL. This will be a dirt road called CALLE AL AMATAL, this road is very bumpy with potholes, It's around a 10 min ride to reach the town. Sometimes guest want to check out later. We go by our schedule reservations, if there is not guest checking in at 3pm the same day of your check out , you can extend your stay for an additional fee of $20 every additional hour. If you like to check in a little earlier, it all depends if there was a check out before your arrival. Contacting Roberto, the care taker, before your arrival would be the best thing to do.
