Relaxing get-away surrounded by nature, featuring an open-air kitchen & lounge below with creek view. Bedroom features TV, AC, mini-fridge, coffee maker, microwave, large closet area, two seating areas and a queen bed with memory foam mattress that looks out double set of sliding glass doors to large private balcony. The bathroom offers a touch of luxury with a large rain shower, eco toilet & two large sinks. All furniture is handmade by local artisans and our favorite plants are throughout. The space Here you will be surrounded by our tropical gardens all around and the peaceful creek flowing out back. You can enjoy looking out over it all from your upstairs private balcony, or while relaxing downstairs, where you have a 270-degree view out from the open-air dining and lounge area filled with tons of our favorite plants. The house is "duplex" style - we live on one side and rent the other side. Out front in the garden area is a fully equipped BBQ and several benches for a great afternoon or evening. We are less than a 3-minute walk to the best swimmable beach area on this side of the island where you will also find one of our favorite spots to hang out, Pipa Beach restaurant - which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner every day! We have good Wi-Fi access - making this a great place for work and play. We are also close enough to town to make the commute quite manageable for most...with travel time ranging from 5 to 10 minutes by car, 10 - 15 minutes by bicycle and 25 - 55 minutes walking. Guest access Guests have access to an outdoor (uncovered) BBQ area nestled within our garden with various benches for getting comfortable and hanging out while cooking. This area is a shared area. At night the garden area is particularly special and even a bit romantic with sparkling lights hanging overhead, along the paths and around the edge of the seating area. Additionally, guests have access to our laundry room (which is also a shared space) - which also includes storage space & cleaning supplies. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE: from July 2025 until February 2026 a neighbor has some construction going on nearby. During this time there may be some noise Monday through Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm. While the bedroom area upstairs is fairly insulated, occasionally the noise may be more noticeable in the dining and lounge area downstairs, as it is fully open to the outside. Rates have been discounted during the month given this inconvenience. You will find coffee, tea, milk and sugar available in the upstairs bedroom and in the downstairs kitchen area. In addition, in the downstairs kitchen you’ll find cooking essentials, including oil, salt and pepper. In the room you will find hand soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. We have of parking space available for guests and a completely fenced-in shared property. We water the plants 2 to 3 times per week – including ones that may be upstairs on the balcony and/or in the bedroom. We will coordinate a time with you so that we are not disrupting your personal space. The downstairs kitchen and lounge space are semi-private. You may see us coming or going out side in the garden area or walkway in front of the hous, but we will not use the space while you are staying with us. However, we do have to occasionally enter the storage & laundry room occasionally - which is located just in front of the open kitchen area. If you want some privacy, just pull the front curtains closed and we will not enter. The outside space with the BBQ is shared, however we always coordinate with guests whenever we intend to use it. We have a compost area on our property and ask guests to discard of organic, non dairy/non meat food in the compost container provided in the kitchen. We provide some options for sunscreen, mosquito spray and mosquito coils in the downstairs area, below the kitchen sink. We do not maintain a regular schedule for refills or linen swaps. If you need anything refilled, need more toilet paper or paper towels, or if you need a change of linens during your stay, just let us know in advance and it will be taken care of same day.
