Woodstock Brewing and Phoenicia Diner 2 minutes away . Ride the rails with Rail Explorers just around the corner or hike the bucolic Tanbark Trail from the park behind our property. Skiing at Belleayre and Hunter less than 20 minutes drive . The space Luxurious spacious cottage with private entrance and its own fenced in courtyard. Feels secluded, but only 2 minutes walk from the little town of Phoenicia (population 300)- voted one of the six coolest small towns in the US by Budget Travel Magazine! Enjoy the quiet of the Catskills countryside, surrounded by mountains and pristine nature. Some days you'll hardly see another soul. Our cottage is architect designed with attention to detail- beautiful cedar lofted ceiling with skylights, bamboo floors and glass doors overlooking a lovely bluestone courtyard . Super comfortable King size bed. Hand crafted bathroom with river stone shower, Italian tiles , heated floor and skylights. Fast Wi fi and smart tv with free movies and shows on Netflix. Feel free to put in your own streaming service . Our cottage has a kitchenette with sink, hotplate, toaster oven/ air fryer , dorm fridge, Keurig coffee station w/selected pods and teas and basic utensils- great for preparing breakfast and small meals . There is a charcoal grill in the courtyard for tasty barbecues or roast marshmallows on our firepit. Visit the Phoenicia Supermarket in town (open until 11pm) for firewood / charcoal and basic supplies. Tremper Farms is a great little farm store for fresh supplies is just 4 minutes drive on 28 going East ( highly recommended ) and Boiceville Market is 8 minutes drive for all your grocery needs. . The cottage has its own private courtyard with steamy Bullfrog hot tub with all the bells and whistles - soak your cares away under the stars with views of trees and mountains beyond- totally fenced on each side so private . The tub has many jets with its own built in neck massager, lounge seat with foot massager , waterfall and led lighting . Miles of pristine hiking trails await, easily accessible from behind the cottage on Phoenicia's historic Tanbark Trail. You'll enjoy amazing views of Phoenicia and surrounding mountains as well as hike through untouched woodlands and see little waterfalls and streams along the way. Dining options are abundant and close at hand. Brios right in town has great wood fired pizzas and Bettina’s is wonderful for brunch . The Phoenicia Diner on Route 28 is amazing for farm to table breakfast and was recently written up in Vogue Magazine. The "Pines" is definitely worth a visit for the best burgers - just 5 minutes away in Mt Tremper. Maeve’s Place is a wonderful cafe great for breakfast or lunch and Woodstock Brewing offers superb local craft beer and excellent burgers , fries , gourmet onion rings and deserts . Drive 10 minutes to dinner at The Peekamoose for locally sourced produce cooked with love and flair in a beautiful setting. The world class Emerson resort and Spa is three minutes away offering an array of spa treatments, specialty stores as well as a full service restaurant and the world’s largest kaleidoscope . Visit our friend Dave at the Tenderland Home right on Main Street , Kim at Melange or Robyn at the Nest Egg for some wonderful gift ideas. Swimming is just across the street in the Esopus Creek . Ask Kerry about "secret " swimming holes close by. Woodland Valley around the corner offers a beautiful and quiet six mile road perfect for cycling. A haven for lovers, writers, artists, musicians, and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Well behaved dogs are most welcome for an additional $45 ( just select the pet option while making your reservation ) The courtyard is fenced off so it may be possible to let dogs outside off leash. The Parish Field out the back of our property is perfect for dog (and human) walking- it accesses the clearly marked Tanbark Trail which takes you up into the mountains and offers wonderful views of Phoenicia and surrounding mountains. Our cottage consists of one large studio space with King bed, couch, coffee table, kitchenette etc all in one space- the bathroom is accessed from a door from the studio space. Short Term Rental Licence # 2022-STR-011 Guest access Private cottage with its own fenced off courtyard and lighted entrance pathway. Hot tub is exclusively for the use of cottage guests. Other things to note Unlike many other listings in our area , our cottage is not within earshot of Route 28 , which is an increasingly noisy main thoroughfare . The cottage is set far back from Main Street , Phoenicia which is a quiet country road and you rarely hear traffic from the cottage . Well behaved pets welcome- please select pets option while booking and pay the fee. Maximum number of guests is two. There is no reliable cell phone service in Phoenicia. We do have a landline in the cottage ( for emergency calls only.) and you should get cell service by switching to wi fi calling . We make every effort to ensure all systems are working efficiently- very occasionally things break or malfunction and we will do our best to get them back to working order asap. Please understand that we are in a rather remote location and repairs can take longer. We do not offer refunds for rare interruptions to electricity, hot tub, hot water system, air conditioning systems or wi fi etc . Please check carefully you have picked up all your personal belongings before checking out . Should you leave something important behind we charge $25 plus postage for our cleaners to send back .
