The space About the Property – The Urban Birdhouse 🏡 The Urban Birdhouse is a thoughtfully built tiny home located behind Hunsucker’s Place in the Mid-town / Idlewood neighborhood of Greensboro. Designed by Tiny House Greensboro, this creative retreat combines efficient design with modern comforts and offers guests a unique way to experience the city. The Space: Sleeping Loft: Rest easy in a cozy queen-size memory foam mattress tucked into the lofted sleeping space access via ladder only. Kitchenette: A microwave convection oven, single-burner hot plate, compact refrigerator, and drip coffee maker provide everything you need for simple, home-style meals. Living & Relaxing: A comfortable sitting area opens to a private deck, with small gas grill, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or unwinding in the evening. Bathroom: The Birdhouse includes a standard flushing toilet and full shower with provided toiletries for a complete, self-contained stay. Climate Control: Stay comfortable with a wall heater and window unit A/C to suit all seasons and wall mount heater. Pet Policy Pets Welcome — with a few simple guidelines: • We happily welcome up to two well-behaved pets per stay. • Please include all pets in your booking request so we can prepare the home accordingly. • Pets are not allowed on furniture or bedding. If your pet is accustomed to being on the furniture please bring your own sheets to cover our furnishings. • Guests traveling with cats must disclose their litter setup and containment plan before booking and confirm that measures are in place to prevent clawing or spraying. This helps us keep the home fresh and allergy-friendly for future guests. • You’re responsible for picking up outdoor waste and reporting any accidents or damage right away so we can address them promptly. • Unregistered pets, excessive shedding, or damage beyond normal cleaning may result in an additional cleaning charge through Airbnb’s Resolution Center. • We use eco-friendly, non-toxic cleaners to protect pets, people, and planet Local Coffee, Dining & Markets: Our location makes it easy to enjoy the best of Greensboro. Community & Connection: We are a small, local, non-corporate business that proudly supports Guilford County high school students with learning differences through the Occupational Course of Study (OCS) program. Students gain valuable work and life experience through projects in our homes, a cause close to Joy’s heart as a former special education teacher. Warmly, Joy & Eric 🌻 Guest access You have full access to the whole tiny house. The yard is mostly used for parking but there is a deck that is just for tiny house with two chairs and a small table. There is a small Weber Grill on the deck that guests are welcome to use. Please let us know when the small propane tank is empty so that we can replace it with a full one. Other things to note The location of this home is super urban. This is a tiny house. While we do have homes professionally cleaned by Simply Organized and Clean, a small, local cleaning company, between guests, we can not guarantee a gluten-free, pet hair-free, 100% sterile environment. We love creating our spaces to mimic staying at the home of a beloved friend or relative and ask that guests please treat these spaces respectfully. Flushing anything (even flushable wipes) will clog the toilet so please just natural waste and toilet paper only. We love well-behaved pets they make travel feel more like home! We charge a $25 per pet, per night fee per stay.
