Our house sits on a secluded private 172 hectare Wildlife / Rain Forest Reserve 1200 meters above La Suiza, Turrialba, and is a 360 degree hexagonal off the Grid Glass House surrounded by birds and glorious high ceiling house with panoramic views of the Volcan Turrialba & valley, Pacuare, Chirripo, & Talamanca mountain ranges + the beautiful Costa Rican rainforest canopy. Hike, Swim, Bird watch, Fish, relax The space Huge loft like elegant glass hexagon house with panoramic views situated at the end of a rural road with no power lines or vehicles passing through. We have wifi and solar panels for electricity. It can sleep 1 as it can sleep 10. Should you want a typical breakfast , lunch or dinner, it can be arranged as long as sufficient notice is given. We are excellent cooks! Early dinner or late lunch at $30 per person served family style. Your group will be the only ones in the main house level. Swimming at our private emerald pond surrounded by rain forest is an amazing experience that is just a 5 minute walk from the house! Gracious and fun horseback riding on our own well trained Pinto, Quarter horse or Costa Rica step horses and guided hikes on our reserve where you will not see other humans and fishing are available at a fair extra charge. Wonderful and exclusive Pacuare River white water rafting trips can be arranged with experienced guides and are highly recommended. The Pacuare River is among the 10 most cleanest rivers in the world. The days are warm, but the nights are chilly thus the fireplace. Hot water in both volcanic stone bathrooms and the 2 bedrooms on main level are very large with excellent views and bedding. If your group is 5 or more, you get full use of the downstairs with 3 beds and bathroom also with excellent views! No shoes in the house please! Only socks or slippers! ALL PHOTOS ON OUR LISTING ARE TAKEN WITHIN OUR PRIVATE RESERVE! Guest access You get the entire house's private main level and are free to walk anywhere on the reserve and swim in our pristine emerald pond. We want you to feel comfortable, private and safe. Guided though hiking tours are recommended when going into rain forest or waterfall starting at $25 to $60 per person; the guided shorter hike is 2 hrs is $25 per person and the longer 4.5 hours through our river canyon to our pristine waterfall is $60 per person (min 2 people for all guided tours). We can give a reduced guided hike group rate for over 4 people. The same goes for our scenic guided horse back riding which is $60 per person depending on how long and where you want to ride. We can arrange private white water rafting tours on the Pacuare River ( among the 10 most cleanest rivers in the world) which includes pick up from La Suiza and lunch. Picnic lunches can be arranged as well as fishing in our Tilapia pond. Rubber at least mid calf boots are recommended or waterproof hiking boots. My husband, staff and I are close by for anything you might need and to customize your stay! Other things to note 1. We are at the end of a 6.5 km 4 wheel drive only road. It is best to arrive before 5 pm. If you don’t have a 4x4, we can arrange a 4 wheel drive taxi to pick you up and arrange a safe place to park your car in the small town of La Suiza at the bottom of our hill for $35. Please let us know with time if you need a 4 wheel taxi. 2. PLEASE be sure to STOCK UP on all the FOOD, SNACKS and BEVERAGES ( coffee/tea , juice, beer, wine, bottled water ) and ice before coming up so you do not have to be going up and down the hill for provisions and can enjoy your time relaxing. Besides the medium size refrigerator we will provide an extra cooler. In the town of La Suiza 7 km below , there are food markets, butcher shops, fruit/ vegetable stands, hardware stores, an ATM and a small pharmacy. 3. But, should you want a delicious typical meal cooked for you, it can also be arranged as long as we are given prior notice before your arrival at reasonable prices. We are excellent cooks. 4. Swimming at our private emerald pond surrounded by rain forest is an amazing experience that is just a 5 minute walk from the house! Horse back riding, guided hikes on our secluded and pristine reserve (where you will not see other humans besides yourselves and the guides ) are available at fare rates depending on number of participants. 5. An Amazing exclusive Private Pacuare River white water rafting trip can be arranged with experienced guides and is highly recommended. The Pacuare River is among the 10 most cleanest rivers in the world. Please let us know with time so we can arrange. 6. The days are warm, but the nights are chilly. It can rain! High rubber boots and closed over the ankle footwear are recommended for walking outside the house. No shoes are allowed in the house. Slippers and socks only inside the house. 7. We are off the grid and rely on solar panels for electricity so please charge your lap tops , computers and cameras during the day light hours. Please, no hair dryers! Be conservative with lights at night. The hot water showers , gas stove and refrigerator all run on propane so please be conservative on making sure refrigerator door closes properly, being conservative with water and hot showers.
