Downstairs: comfortable lounge with sofa bed available on request (£30/night for 2 additional guests). Guest access You'll have exclusive, private use of The Shippon and its surrounding 4-acre grounds — including the kitchen garden, fire pit area, hammock and secure dog paddock. The barn is fully self-contained, with no shared spaces and no passing traffic, offering complete privacy throughout your stay. Other things to note We have a few policies in place to ensure all guests enjoy a relaxing, safe, and comfortable stay: Check-in is from 4:00 pm, and check-out is by 10:00 am. Early arrival or late departure may be available on request but is not guaranteed. The lead guest must be 25 years or older. We reserve the right to request photo identification. No parties or events – this is a peaceful countryside setting and we ask all guests to respect that. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. Dogs: We welcome well-behaved, house-trained dogs (maximum of two). Dogs must be kept downstairs only and off all furniture. No fake tan, please – it can cause permanent stains to our luxury bedding and towels. Any damage may incur a replacement or cleaning fee. Lost keys: A £50 fee applies to cover locksmith or replacement costs. Optional Sofa Bed Available If you would like to use the sofa bed, please let us know in advance so we can prepare it for you. There is a charge of £15 per night for additional guests using the sofa bed. EV Charging Available We have an EV charger available on-site. Charging is offered at a flat rate of £15 per charge. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring an electric vehicle so we can make sure the charger is available and accessible. Wi-Fi & Utility Services We make every effort to ensure all advertised amenities, including Wi-Fi, are available throughout your stay. However, internet and utility services are provided by third-party suppliers, and occasional outages beyond our control may occur. If an issue arises, we will act promptly to report it and work to restore the service as quickly as possible.
