Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. In summer, it is beautiful for biking and hiking, and in winter, it is great for skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Close to Thun and Lake Thun. From Thun you can reach us in about 20 minutes by car. Our house is located on the southern slope with exceptional views of the Hogant, the 7-Hengste and the Sigriswilergrat. The Zulgtal (Zulg is the name of the river in our valley) has no through traffic. A PostBus runs regularly to Thun. The space In our old converted farmhouse, we have renovated the first-floor apartment and can now offer it as a vacation rental. The famous Heart Route (e-bike) runs through our valley and 60 km of hiking trails are signposted throughout the municipality. In snowy winters, an all-wheel drive is certainly an advantage. A small ski resort, a cross-country ski trail and snowshoe trails make our community, which is designed for gentle tourism, interesting. A small village shop offers almost everything. In summer you can stock up on the cultivated alpine pastures with excellent cheese. A small shop at the ski lift parking lot offers regional products. Guest access The apartment consists of a living room with a wood-burning stove, which can be heated with wood in winter. A beautiful bedroom with a window front, a bathroom built in 2016 and a pretty kitchen with Nespresso coffee machine, oven, large fridge and dishwasher complete the apartment. On the right and left is a closed, unheated veranda, which can be used from spring to autumn in cloudy weather. In 2023, we renovated the apartment with love and preserved as much of the old and proven as possible. The apartment is connected to our air-heat pump. If necessary, the old wood-burning stove can be heated. This is in the kitchen and warms the sitting oven in the living room. The outdoor area is shared with us. Other things to note We have 3 cats, so a stay with a dog is not possible. Our accommodation is not suitable for small children. Smoking is not allowed inside the apartment. Smoking is allowed outside. We ask that you handle smoking items with care, as our house was built exclusively of wood. Our gas grill may be used by arrangement. Deck chairs are provided. Bed, shower and kitchen linen is available.
