This charming cottage is the former cottage of our farm and is located on the other side of the small avenue of linden trees that leads to our house. Quietly in a natural garden under an ancient beech tree on a gentle hill. From the house you can see the sun rise over the sea and in the evening the lights from Ærøskøbing, which is about 9 km away. This pearl is gradually being renovated by us and is furnished with a lot of love simply, individually and relaxed. The space Take a break and enjoy the serenity of our charming little country house. This 80 sqm refuge of simplicity and tranquility follows the philosophy "less is more." Nestled in a private garden under chestnuts, linden trees and a majestic beech tree, this three-room pearl offers a cozy, rustic retreat. A small hallway leads to the dining room, which is oriented to the west and shines in the warm glow of the evening sun. To the left is the living room with two daybeds, which can be arranged as single beds or as a double bed – ideal for versatile use as a second bedroom. To the right side is the master bedroom and the ensuite bathroom. Living room and bedroom are to the east and are flooded with light almost all day. Breathtaking sunrises over the bay await you. The bathroom has not yet been renovated - it has everything you need: shower, hot water, sink and toilet - but the tiles are no longer the most beautiful: so a rather aesthetic problem, which we will soon fix. Our house is intended to be a relaxing oasis without modern distractions – no TV and no Wi-Fi and no parties – children are welcome :-). We invite you to enjoy the beauty of simple country life. Back to the tour: From the dining room you can also go to the small, simple kitchen, also to the west, it is equipped with everything you need to take good care of yourself. A short walk along a picturesque road leads to a beautiful beach, perfect for relaxing family outings with mostly calm and often crystal clear water. The house is located on our property, but on the other side of the small linden avenue that leads to our house - the garden of the small house is only used by you during your stay. In the house there is a cozy fireplace and an air-to-air heat pump for cold days and fall and winter. A first portion of wood is always included. Outside there is a fireplace, a grill as well as a table and chairs for breakfast with sea views, lunch in the light shade of the trees or dinner in the evening sun. Our facility is a lovingly curated and maintained mixture of old and new, flea market finds, inherited treasures and elements from nature. During the season, we look forward to sharing the fruits of our organic garden – fresh vegetables, fruit and bouquets are part of it for us if we are allowed to welcome you here. By arrangement, we can also offer a bread roll service. Fresh towels and bed linens (only natural materials such as cotton and linen) are also provided, but we kindly ask you to bring your own beach towels. We also provide ecological hand soap, dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent to protect the water quality on the island. The water from the tap is drinkable. There is a small washing machine and a clothesline with clips between the apple trees. In addition, the fridge has a small freezer compartment. The kitchen is connected to an annex with outside access, where, for example, stand-up paddle boards or bicycles can be stored. The road in front of the house is hardly used and we are surrounded by meadows, fields and a small forest on the top of one of the gentle hills of this beautiful island in the Danish South Seas.
