Exceptional new villa with heated pool on Hvar

Nine Olives Hvar, my purpose-built holiday villa, was completed in 2024. It offers exceptional design and views, including magnificent sunsets. Many guests have now enjoyed it. All have praised the house and location. Nine Olives Hvar is a short stroll to a beautiful beach and swimming area, and to the lovely town of Stari Grad, as UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is easy to get to from Split or Dubrovnik. I can promise a truly memorable vacation. Please ask if you have queries. David The space Nine Olives Hvar is architect designed. It was built to high standards. It looks like no other house. It received a prestigious architectural award for design innovation and excellence. It is located on a fantastic site, overlooking the sea and facing direct to the sunset. It is also different to other houses in that it was designed specially for holiday-makers. It has been carefully planned to be ideal for groups of friends or extended family. Four main bedrooms are each the same size and layout and have direct sea views through large French doors. They are spacious and elegantly furnished with purpose-designed fitted wardrobes and headboards. They have king sized double beds that can be divided to be twin single beds, giving great flexibility. They each have walk in showers and two basins. The fifth room has two single beds. It can form a family suite or be used independently. There is a standalone bathroom (with bathtub, toilet and two basins) that is shared by all rooms. A secluded al fresco shower in the garden has hot and cold water. The bedrooms open onto a large verdanda and the pool. The veranda has a large sofa and easy chairs. The swimming pool features a “sitting shelf”. It is treated by hydrolysis, with no chemicals. It is heated in the spring and autumn to 28 degrees and has a cover to prevent overnight heat loss. The chapel-style part of the house, above the bedrooms, is a wonderful space, entirely glazed, with retractable windows, on the sea-facing side. It has an open plan kitchen and dining area, with a round dining table seating 10 and a kitchen table to gather around. A spiral stair leads to a spacious mezzanine living room, with even better views. There are two large roof terraces, one often in the shade. The other has a gazebo with a dining table seating 10 for al fresco eating. It has a gas barbecue. The beautiful Mediterranean garden backs onto an olive grove. It includes a herb garden with 13 different varieties for you to try in your cooking. A garden table seats 10, offering another dining choice. It has a charcoal barbeque. All rooms in the house have ceiling fans and thermostat controlled air conditioning. There is a nice cool breeze from the sea from mid morning on most days in summer. The bedroom windows have retractable insect nets so that they can be kept open overnight without bother from bugs. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to all parts of the house and garden. Other things to note There is a mid-week clean and linen change for stays of 6 nights or more. We have a cot, high chair and folding child's bed. The house has two car parking spaces. It is not necessary to have a car as shops and places to eat and drink are in walking distance. Stari Grad is exceptionally pleasant for cycling. There is a bike hire agency a short distance from the house.
