Our comfortable 2-storey terraced home, well-located in the cute and central Victorian neighbourhood of Portobello, dates from c.1865. There are a good mix of period details + modern touches, including high ceilings and an abundance of light from large windows and skylights throughout. There are 2 bedrooms, sleeping up to 4 people, and 1.5 bathrooms. A number of really good cafes and restaurants are within easy walking distance, among them Lennox Street Grocers, Little Bird and Lena Resto. The space This is our full-time home, and so it is comfy and personable. Built around 1865 -- but well maintained, and with modern updates -- it has loads of character and also the occasional old-home quirk. Downstairs is an open-plan layout, with the following: - the main living room at the front of the house - a second, middle living area - the south-facing kitchen + dining area that look onto the back patio - half bathroom, with toilet, sink and clothes-drying rack - washing machine under the stairs Upstairs is a landing, onto which open: - the large master bedroom (queen bed; at the front of the house) - the second, smaller bedroom (double bed; at the back of the house) - full bathroom (bathtub + shower, toilet, sink) (There is a locked storage room that also has a door onto the landing.)
