Spacious rustic cabin in beautiful national park
Description
Caburn Cabin is in Firle Village in the South Downs national park. Our spacious timber cabin sleeps up to four people. It has a warm rustic charm whilst being fully equipped with modern facilities. There is a rear private deck with seating. Ideal for romantic escapes or active holidays. Enjoy the outdoors by foot & bike direct from the cabin. The local pub & village shop are just 10 minutes walk. Perfect for Glyndebourne, Charleston & Firle weddings or explore nearby towns of Lewes or Brighton. The space You walk into a large double height room with big gable window at the far end. Fully timber clad inside. The ground floor living area has an L shaped sofa (double sofa bed), large dining table and well equipped kitchen. A bio-ethanol vintage stove/fire adds to the cosy feel. There is a workspace area too with very good wifi throughout the cabin. An accessible bathroom with walk-in shower is also on the ground floor. Up on the mezzanine level is the main bedroom, with super-king bed and great views of the countryside. Outside you have a large private cedar deck which opens out onto our garden, complete with comfortable seating and charcoal BBQ. The cabin is located in the grounds of our property in the rear garden area. You may see us in the garden, but the cabin and deck area is for your private use. We have a friendly, sociable dog. The Ram Inn pub is a 10 minute walk into the village and there is a village shop stocking the basics. We have an excellent Farm Shop (Middle Farm) a mile away with a butcher, cheese counter, fresh veg and a great selection of local beer and cider. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the cabin and rear deck area. The driveway with parking is shared with us (hosts). Other things to note There is a charcoal BBQ on the deck but guests need to provide their own charcoal. (Unfortunately the AirBnB description for a BBQ ,which we cannot edit, suggests that we may provide charcoal but we do not) The cabin has not been designed with very young children in mind, for example - open shelves at floor level in the kitchen area, and no stair gate provided. Toddlers are welcome but at your own risk.
