Cozy cottage great for friends, family or couples getaways!

The Little House on Prairie is a very cozy and comfortable home! This property underwent a complete remodel which was complete on July 1st of 2018. Unfortunately we had to close during covid, but we are excited to re-open in 2023! This cozy two bedroom home accommodates up to six people comfortably. The open concept kitchen, dining and living room creates a great place for sharing quality time with family & friends. All new stainless steel appliances in a well stocked kitchen. The living room hosts a 55" SMART HDTV, comfortable furniture for snuggling in and hanging out. There is great space for outdoor enjoyment. The backyard patio provides an opportunity to enjoy outdoor dining, yard games, relaxation and a backyard fire pit is a great place for sharing stories and quality time. There is wifi for those who prefer to stay connected. The screened in front porch is a wonderful place to enjoy morning coffee, read, visit or just relax. House - (Sleeps up to 6 comfortably) - 1500 Sq. Ft. The main floor master bedroom is cozy and comfortable with a queen size bed and built in dresser. The second bedroom, located in the basement, is very large and has one queen size bed and two twin beds, the beds are co-located in one large bunk room with a privacy screen between the sleeping areas.. Additionally, there is an electric fireplace, small TV and game table space in the basement bunk room. There is a small desk/office space located just outside the basement bunk room. The kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances, a raised seating bar with stools and is open to the living and dining areas. This is a great gathering space. The dining room features room to seat 6 very comfortably, with additional seating at the countertop bar. Plan that special getaway! The home is the perfect place for friends, family, small group or romantic get aways! There is great spaces for socialization and yet privacy for those who choose to go to bed early or sleep-in. The property has many of the things you need to have an enjoyable time. Such as gas grill, patio fire pit (Firewood available in town), washer & dryer, and entertainment items such as: tennis rackets, puzzles, board games and yard games, DVDs, etc. The Little House on Prairie is a wonderful place to come and get away from the pressures of life. Enjoy the beautiful area with a great quiet location only 4 blocks from the lake, riverwalk and a short 8 block walk from downtown and the beach. There are so many options to fill your days with activities or relaxation. Boating, fishing, golf, biking, charter sailing, hang gliding, a number of wineries in a days drive around Lake Pepin, apple orchards, Frontenac state park with hiking and cross-country skiing, Hok-si-la city park and beach, eagle watching and National eagle center, Treasure Island Casino, Lark Toys, antique shops, restaurants, fishing and houseboat charters, Fall drives along scenic roads. For the fishermen in your family, there are plenty of walleye, northern pike, bass, and sunnies (for those little guys and gals!). And of course Lake City is the birthplace of waterskiing, so the perfect place for water fun! SUMMER RESERVATION POLICY FOR 2023: We accept reservations for two or more nights. Normal check-in is 4 p.m. and normal check-out is 11 a.m. unless otherwise arranged. There is a three night minimum on Thursdays, holidays and local festival dates. Such as: Memorial Day, Waterski Days, Fourth of July, Labor Day, 100 mile garage sale weekend. No Pets - local boarding resources can be recommended. No smoking!
