The mill, surrounded by a lot of greenery and the stream flowing under the mill itself, is externally characterized by a large unfenced terrace with a table for dining and a barbecue. The accommodation is also equipped with TV, wi-fi internet connection, baby bed, high chair, parking. The space Outdoors The mill, located in a small valley along the Pescia stream in the heart of Svizzera Pesciatina, is the only building to have the original stone tunnel connected to the left bank of the stream intact. On the north side, the current owners brought back to light the old stone wall that anciently merged the waters to activate the stone millstones, then located inside, one of which is still visible as part of the external wash house. The green of the forest and the flowing water of the river make this place an oasis of relaxation in contact with nature. The multi-level outdoor garden is furnished with a large wooden table, a portable barbecue, sun loungers, an umbrella, deck chairs. The stream and the natural pool can be accessed through a tunnel dug entirely into the stone (to be traveled carefully and minding the head). Parking for up to three cars is located inside the property, on two terraces on different levels overlooking the river. A secondary road passes near the house. Interior The mill, entirely in stone and active until the early '50s, has been restored with skill, intended for residential use and furnished with rustic objects that give the place a unique carachter. It is equipped with all the comforts to make guests feel at ease. From the street floor there is access to the large tavern consisting of a kitchen with terracotta countertop, induction hob, fridge, wood oven and a large table at guests' disposal. On the same floor there is a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower; from here via a steep internal staircase we go down to the lower floor, where there is a large and bright living room with sofas and a beautiful bright window overlooking the river. On your left, guests will be intrigued by a glass door and stone steps leading to the fascinating tunnel that finishes directly into the natural pool; from here you can also access the laundry corner with washing machine, iron and ironing board; instead, on your right you will find yourself directly on the very well equipped terrace with a large table for dining outdoor, an umbrella and a portable barbecue. From the ground floor you go up to the first floor where there is a living room with fireplace, a table, a small sofa and a kitchenette with four burners, electric oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, two double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and from here, also through the indoor wooden staircase, you access the top attic floor with double bedroom, a private bathroom with Jacuzzi, a comfortable futon bed for moments of relaxation and a small kitchenette complete with four burners, microwave and stone sink. Location The Mulino Del Rossino is located in Vellano, a hamlet in the municipality of Pescia, province of Pistoia, the ancient capital of Switzerland Pesciatina which is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful areas of the Valdinievole. Immersed in the green of the Valleriana, it shares its ancient origins with nine other medieval villages, rich in culture and tradition, which together take the name of the Ten Castella della Valleriana. Clinging to the top of one of the headlands that rise to control the valley, the mill is a place permeated by the history and traditions that have made it born and survive over the years.
