The center of the road is seasonal and not maintained October through April so there is limited amounts of traffic! Rural, quiet and peaceful. A short driveway with ample parking leads to the house. Designed by @hutsnyc, 'Lil Rita is 10x20' and full of modern touches with a simple style. The main living space on the first floor includes a cozy sitting area, dining table, kitchen and wet room. Up a ladder, enter the lofted bedroom with cushy mattress and fantastic views. Three large sliding doors let in the sights and sounds of the country. The forest canopy and woods that surround the cabin allow for a connection with nature. Whether you are a solo traveler looking for a reset, or if you are traveling with a friend or loved one, this is the intimate space you need to unwind. There is a shed at the front of the property that used for storage and is not included in the reservation. Hosts live nearby and are available as needed. Delaware County NY is a four season vacation destination. In the summertime there are yard sales, farmers markets, fairs and more. Outdoor activities include hiking, biking and fishing. Fall is for leaf peeping. Drive down the country roads, pick apples and pumpkins and enjoy nearby town harvest festivals. Winter is packed full of activities. There are two ski centers nearby that offer tubing, skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing (as well as summer activities like hiking, biking and concerts). Winter weather can be mercurial. Check the weather report for this area and plan your travel accordingly. 4WD or AWD vehicles are necessary between October through April when snow, ice and mud are likely. Snow plows do not operate on secondary roads between 8PM and 5AM so in the winter plan your travel accordingly. If you are unfamiliar with driving in the snow, particularly uphill, search online for tips. Sites like AAA have good information. The driveway is plowed and shoveled to the entrance. The driveway is plowed every several inches of fallen snow but if it is snowing, there may still be snow on the driveway. A shovel is provided, please keep the walkway maintained during your stay. The bedroom is in a loft accessible by ladder. Guests should have the ability and feel comfortable climbing a ladder. Payment processing fees are non-refundable. Check-In and Check-Out: Plan your travel on our listed 4PM arrival and 11AM departure times. Changes in times may be available for an additional fee if possible. Please give at least 24 hours notice for requests, last minute requests may not be possible as cleaning and service schedules are planned in advance. We have awesome neighbors; help keep us awesome neighbors too. - No parties. Only the number of guests on the reservation should be in the house. Let Host know of daytime guests. - No smoking or vaping inside. If you must smoke, do so outdoors only and extinguish when done then put in the garbage. - Pets are not allowed. I know, we love them too! - No ATV's, snowmobiles, fireworks or firearms. - Quiet hours 10PM to 8AM, keep outdoor noise to a minimum. The bed is in a loft accessible only by ladder.
