This is a perfect base for couples wishing to explore the picturesque and undiscovered Alpujarras. For days out, you are spoilt for choice since the area has so much to offer: trek or cycle along the myriad of ancient roads and footpaths that traverse the surrounding countryside; drive south through stunning mountain scenery to coastal Salobreña (a 30 minute drive) or, for a dose of culture, head north to discover the ancient Moorish city of Granada, just 55 minutes away by car.
