This cottage is the perfect mix of peaceful, rural country living, whilst still being just a short drive away from all of the local amenities, major transport links and tourist attractions. Plenty of fun activities for the kids and ideal for grown ups looking for a quiet getaway or for business travellers. Manor Cottage is located just 2 miles from the centre of Chard Town. Chard is a picturesque Somerset Town, providing many local amenities including numerous supermarkets, pubs and restaurants, cafes, museum, weekly markets and events and retail shops. Manor Cottage would suit families, couples or professionals working in the area, with close transport links to the M5 (just 9 miles from J25), Bristol Airport (50 minutes), Exeter Airport (45 minutes) and the coast (25 minutes). This is the perfect place for an all year round retreat. The Space Downstairs -Kitchen, Dining room, Lounge and downstairs W/C A well equipped good sized kitchen suitable for ‘home from home’ cooking/baking for the family/large groups, a dining room/sun room for sit down dining, a comfortable sitting room with digital TV, board games/childrens games and log burner. This is a country cottage but has a spacious feel to it, with large and light bedrooms and plenty of room to accommodate a family or a group of adults. Upstairs Bedrooms Maximum sleeping for 7 persons. There are 2 large double bedrooms. One with a Kingsize bed, one with a double bed and the option for us to make up a maximum of 3no single beds in the bedrooms, depending on requested occupancy. These single beds are suitable for adults and children. If you need more people to stay, please do ask so we can make the necessary arrangements and set up the beds. Manor Farm is situated on the Devon/Dorset borders with easy access to the Jurassic coast. Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Seaton, Charmouth beaches only a short drive away. There is plenty to see and do during your visit, as we are in very close proximity of farm shops, Chard Resevoir (Great fishing spot! 10 minute walk!), garden centres and cafes, country pubs, Perrys cider mill, cycle routes just 2 minutes front the door (route 33), golf courses (2 miles) and National Trust sites, Ferne Animal Sanctuary and plenty more! Both The Barn (Sleeps 4) and The Cottage (Sleeps 7) have well equipped good sized kitchens suitable for ‘home from home’ cooking/baking for the family/large groups, a dining room/sun room for sit down dining, a comfortable sitting room with digital TV. Private outdoor garden areas. The Cottage is situated next to a beautiful water mill (safe for children as the water mill is walled) - ideal area for outdoor eating and relaxing.
