Lake Sara's attractions include 2 marinas, 1 restaurants: PInky's, 1 bar- Rusty Reel, an ice cream truck, bait shop, and public beach. The public beach includes 2 playgrounds, along with 4 pickle ball courts, a ninja challenge course, weight and cardio exercise machines, beach volleyball court, a quarter-mile walking trail, disc golf courses, bocce ball court, and an All Access fishing dock. The lake offers boating, fishing, swimming, water sports, kayaking, & paddle boarding. Pontoon rentals available both at the marinas and online. Other recreational activities in the area include hiking, biking, golf, hunting, and sledding. The downtown area of Effingham is filled with unique shops & boutiques, local restaurants and cafes.
