Sítio Cotinga - Forest Cabin at 1500m

The Cabana is within the Sítio Cotinga Environmental Reserve, a private area where we live. It is connected to the Florestal continuum of the Serra do Mar State Park. It is a unique place, as it is home to a rich endemic biodiversity, between 1550 and 1650 m in altitude, in addition to beautiful landscapes. The region is remote, there are no markets and restaurants nearby. To get to the cabin, you need a high and short vehicle or 4x4 (if you want to explore the region). It's a unique experience for fans of Nature! The space It's a comfortable cabin with no visual or noise pollution nearby. In it, guests will find a kitchen equipped with a minibar, 4-burner stove (with oven), and enough utensils for a quiet stay. The fireplace completes the cozy atmosphere on cold nights. Guests sleep and bathe overlooking the forest. The water is from a spring located on the site itself. As we prioritize sustainability, the energy is solar. Outside, there is a place to make a bonfire on a floor fire and a place to hang a hammock. On the property there is a vegetable garden that is freely accessible (we leave a basket with seasonal products in the cabin). There is also a trout pond and an apiary. Throughout the site there are trails that allow you to get to know the forest and viewpoints, in addition to the swing where the landscape is stunning, especially when there is a sea of clouds under your feet. What to do on the premises: • Monitored forest visit; • Hiking on trails; • Hikes to the Mirante do Buyeê (the highest point in the region), and to Morro do Balanço - these points are within the property; From these viewpoints it is possible to have a view of the entire Paraíba Valley, in addition to Serra da Mantiqueira and Pico dos Marins due to the altitude of 1640m. • Observation of the forest canopy on the platform. Guest access The site has private trails that give access to a platform used for meditation and observation of the forest canopy and the overlooks. To make better use of the space, also bring: • Firewood for fire and fireplace; • footwear suitable for hiking (high top); •lanterns for night walks; •all supplies for the days of stay (the cabin is remote, there are NO markets and restaurants nearby. ●the vehicle needs to be high and short or 4x4, as there are 12 km of dirt road and the last km is steep.
