Orient Point Suite at the Calhoun House Inn & Suites

This four-room suite is decorated in a distinctive Oriental theme. This suite has vintage heart pine flooring that was originally installed in 1920 and carefully refinished in 2007. This suite is located on the top floor of the main Calhoun House, giving it a beautiful Mountain View, and is easily accessed, without climbing stairs, by parking in the designated parking spaces at the back of the house. It has a private entrance off the spacious covered porch. With 2500 square feet of covered porches the Calhoun House offers our guests plenty of space to sit, relax and rock in one of our many rocking chairs and enjoy the quiet serenity and view of the Great Smoky Mountains. The bedroom has the original plaster walls and ceilings with a hand-made texture from when the house was originally built as a hotel in 1920. These were also restored in 2007 after being covered for many years. Orient Point Suite features: A continental breakfast in your own kitchen. A large living room with a private entrance from a covered porch with long range mountain views. It also features a full-size sleeper sofa, electric fireplace, and authentic oriental decor. Dish Network TV in living room (with free HBO). DVD player on every TV with library of movies for adults and children. A private bedroom with TV, and a queen-size pillow top mattress on a wrought iron bed, poplar wood walls and the original 1920 plaster ceiling, meticulously restored to is original beauty. A private bathroom with a JACUZZI® whirlpool bathtub / shower, and a 54-inch vanity with marble sink and countertop. A fully equipped kitchen with Corian countertop, refrigerator, stove, microwave, garbage disposal, pots, pans, dishes, flatware, glasses, coffee maker, toaster, cocoa pot, and water boiler for tea (tea bags included). Free wireless Internet. Like every suite in the house the Orient Point Suite has its own central air and heat system.
