Amor de Mar is a family owned, eco-friendly, boutique hotel located in front of the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy the spectacular ocean views and relaxing tropical atmosphere. Cala is located on the second floor at the back of the hotel. This lovely cozy room has large glass windows with screens, coffee maker, free coffee, desk, safety-box and A/C. The hotel's restaurant serves an à la carte breakfast menu with homemade bread, fresh fruit, smoothies, eggs, avocado toast, crepes and more. Not included* The space Our hotel is cozy and charming, we constructed it 30 years ago filling it with natural wood and many artistic collaborations. All of our bathrooms are modern to give you a feeling of luxury in the jungle, but we will always respect the natural environment in which the hotel resides. We are ocean front with a large and open facing garden filled with hammocks and sun loungers down to the sea to a fantastic tide pool for swimming. You can cool off in the outdoor shower and sun bath to your hearts desire. Plus we are located right in-front of the main entrance to the Montezuma waterfall! The river that flows down from the waterfall boarders our property to the left which can also be a very relaxing and refreshing dip. A perfect place to kids to swim in too! A beautiful beach nearby is Las Manchas, only a 15 min walk down the road. Montezuma has a lot of nature and fun adventures to take advantage of. Make sure you ask us upon arrival for great spots to enjoy during your time with us! Guest access We are only a 10 minute walk south of downtown Montezuma, right across from the main waterfall entrance, where you will find many restaurants and shops. The closest restaurants (both amazing) are Soda Las Palmeras that serves local typical food and Los Artistas, the best lunch restaurant in Montezuma! Both are only a 3 minute walk away. Waterfall entrance is across the street from us and we are close to a beautiful small local beach called Las Manchas! Most restaurants and activities are within walking distance. Its just far enough from the center of town to provide peace and tranquility but close enough for convenience. No need to rent a car. Free parking available. Other things to note Amor de Mar operates on eco-friendly principles. We only use 100% biodegradable cleaning materials, dish wash and laundry soap. The bathrooms are equipped with water saving toilets and instant energy saving hot water heaters. We recycle and encourage visitors to refill their water bottles in our lobby. Amor de Mar is active in supporting many community projects such as: the recycle center, the children's orchestra, the local school, and improvement of local infrastructure. The hotel further supports the community by buying food from local providers such as eggs, fruits, jams, and smoked fish. Our organic vegetables are purchased from the local farmers market. The hotel features the work of many talented local artisans, displayed in our lamps, woodwork, decorations and mosaics.
