Towering Pines Condominium (a legal and licensed nightly rental in Okanogan Cty) a dog friendly(limit 2 dogs), 1840 square foot, comfortably decorated vacation getaway located in the Old West town of Winthrop. Our getaway provides the perfect lodging accommodations for your Methow Valley adventure. The space Towering Pines is located on the south edge of Winthrop, just a 2-minute drive to the grocery store and other conveniences, and less than a 5-minute drive (or a short bike ride) to the ice rink. The ski and bike trail is a short walk away from the condo. For a more leisurely outing, just one more minute (or shortwalk/bike over the suspension bridge) and you are in town with access to all the cafes, restaurants, bookstore, and more. On the main floor is a fully equipped kitchen with a separate dining area. For coffee lovers, a regular coffee maker, a Keurig, a Nespresso machine, a coffee grinder, and coffee for all 3 options are provided. The cozy living room has a stone gas fireplace, a smart TV, and 2 leather couches. The dining room table seats 6, with additional seating at the kitchen bar counter, providing ample, comfortable space for your group and guests. A/C is available. A half bath is off the living room. There is 20 MB high-speed internet for your personal use or for working remotely. A washer/dryer is off the kitchen. This townhome has 3 fully furnished bedrooms and 2 baths on the second floor. The primary bedroom has a king bed, A/C, and a private bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed with A/C, and the third bedroom has a twin bed and bunk bed. These two bedrooms share a full bathroom. Parking is available for 3 cars immediately in front of the unit. Access to the garage for secure bicycle or ski storage, and ski waxing is available upon request. The home has puzzles and games galore. Also enjoy the Smart TV with several streaming apps logged in, or bring your own login info. There is a DVD player and some videos available for use, as well as Internet access; wireless boosters are available upstairs. There is a Nintendo 64 in the twin room. There are boot dryers, clothes-drying racks, an ironing board/iron, and a baby gate. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole condo. Other things to note Dog Friendly-Limit 2 dogs($110 per dog) EXTREMELY IMPORTANT YEAR-ROUND TRAVEL INFORMATION--READ BEFORE BOOKING A RESERVATION: 1)It is the responsibility of the guest to have travel plans in place to travel either over the North Cascades via Highway 20 OR to travel over Stevens Pass through Leavenworth OR to travel I-90 over Snoqualmie to Blewett Pass through Wenatchee and then up the Columbia River to the Methow Valley. If one route is closed, it is our responsibility to make alternate travel plans. NO REFUNDS will be given at any time of the year simply because an alternate route must be taken, adding additional travel time. Highway 20 is closed in the winter, and mountain passes can be closed at any time of the year due to wildfires, rockslides, or other events. Directions over all the routes will be sent to you 3 days before your arrival. Make sure to check the pass reports (and they can change while you are en route) and print out the directions before you leave. 2)Trail Access/Closure Information: If you are coming to hike, bike, or ski on a trail or system of trails which happen to be closed before or during your stay, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. Trail closures can occur at any time due to fire, rockslides, mudflows, and more, and we have no control over them. There are many hiking and biking trails of various kinds in the Methow Valley. If access to the North Cascades is closed via Hwy 20 for any reason, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. There are beautiful hikes in and around our valley that we would be happy to recommend. INTERNET POLICY..PLEASE NOTE: **We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley, and outages or tech issues beyond our control can occur; for these reasons, NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through Airbnb describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will contact the internet provider and/or the homeowner. Please note... our valley is very rural and getting service personnel to fix things promptly can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space. Public internet is available at the Winthrop library, with enhanced internet speed (in the parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee, you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. We appreciate your understanding! IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION : **Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months, it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme, with heavy snowfall, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, and impassable roads/driveways. If it snows while you are here, you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies, and neither the Methow Reservation nor the homeowners control their schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads and driveways. To plow, if a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required, especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck, you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA **Propane Fireplace--should there be tech issues with the propane fireplace during your stay, please send a message through Airbnb. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem.
