The main bedroom , on the top floor, is very large with a bateau lit king size bed, a large shower and bathroom next door with a beautiful cupola for star gazing from the bath .A large bedroom with one double or 2 single beds and small ensuite loo and shower room , next door is a medium sized girls room with a double bed , there is another large Cupular letting in so much light , then down a sweeping stair case to a medium sized spare room with basin in the bedroom and a loo outside. A Large drawing room, separate television/snug room and a loo. Finally stairs to a large fully equipped kitchen with Aga and American fridge , round table and french doors opening onto a walled garden with flowers, fruit trees and Daffodil our resident tortoise. There is a separate utility room and a bathroom on this floor . The beds are made up with the finest quality linen, the bathrooms are filled with beautiful ortigia shower gels, shampoos and toothpaste so essentials can be left at home. The location is walkable to every Edinburgh landmark, particularly the theatres , restaurants, St James quarter with its roof top bars and every fashionable shop, Harvey Nichols and Princess st . A four minute walk from the front door is the tram stop if you prefer to glide through the city. The train and bus station are just a 7 minute walk handy for arrivals and day trips. Arriving by air , jump on the tram and arrive 40 minutes later at the Macdonald Rd stop round the corner from the house. Carlton hill is a wonderful magestic hill, its at the end of our Road and after a 10 minute climb you can see the whole of the city, Firth of Forth , Fife , Holyrood Palace and the Edinburgh castle , enjoy a cuppa from the Glass house .If you enjoy running or long walks , the spectacular Arthur’s seat is 15 minutes walk away , wonderful for picnics long walks beautiful views and lochs filled with swans .
