Central & walking distance to all the essentials. Forest, mountains, ocean, & rivers are a short drive away from your private driveway. Toss your gear in the garage, then relax on the patio or by the fire. Our space is super bright, open, and modern, the west facing half of a new duplex facing the quiet lane. It's a great place to relax inside and out, or cook a delicious meal: - Modern, open concept kitchen with a large island that doubles as the dining table - Cozy, bright, open and comfortable living room with gas fireplace, games and Netflix - Big balcony with a barbecue and mountain/sunset views - Two comfortable bedrooms with queen beds - 4 piece bathroom - Desk in the master bedroom for your home office setup - Garage for your skis and bikes Everything is yours! Feel free to use the garage for your bikes or skis. On the ground floor you'll have a neighbour who has their own entrance on the side of the house. We also have a selection of floaties and a medium sized old road bike in the garage you are more than welcome to use at your own risk :) Pin pad lock for you convenience at check-in, and we're always available by phone or text. You may cross paths with my tenant in the downstairs suite, who is well aware that I have guests stay when I'm not home. In Central Courtenay you'll see a mix of small businesses, low-rise condos and old and new houses. Our house faces a lane with lots of trees and friendly neighbours. One of the best things about our place is that it's walking distance to everything. Here's a few examples: - Nature: River swimming, oceanfront walks, and the Rotary Trail - Breweries: Gladstone Brewing Co. - Restaurants: Atlas Restaurant (one of the best), Cornerstone Pizza (craft beer, great food, and live tunes some nights!), & The Yellow Deli (comfort food and creative yerba mate lattes) - Grocery stores: Edible Island Whole Foods Market (your local health food grocery store) - Treats: Blue Spruce Ice Cream (artisan ice cream, and amazing soups!) - Coffee shops: Rhodes Coffee (& Roaster), & Mudsharks Coffee Bar (both have good food too!) - Small shops and boutiques: Lots on 5th and 6th Street Getting to and from the house is easy by car, bus and on foot. CAR: - 11 minute drive to Cumberland - 35 minute drive to Mt. Washington Alpine Resort - 11 minute drive to Comox - 6 minute drive to the Courtenay Airpark BUS: - 22 minutes bus ride to North Island College (6 minute walk to bus stop) ON FOOT: - Everything listed above in "the neighbourhood" within 15 minutes - Puntledge Park & Lewis Park - Shops - Restaurants - Breweries - Coffee shops We hope you have a great time in the Comox Valley :)
