Ponderosa Hideaway is a cozy private suite with gorgeous mountain and city views in a quiet neighbourhood. Relax in the morning sunshine on your own private deck and hot tub surrounded by Ponderosa pine trees. Stylish, minimal decor with hand crafted wood accents. Access Knox Mountain trails right from your doorstep. 5 min drive to downtown, 15 min walk to cafes and brewery district. Well behaved, friendly dogs are welcome to explore the fully fenced yard. Our family lives upstairs. The space Ponderosa Hideaway is a garden level suite in our home with a separate entrance, private deck, hot tub, and fenced yard space. Our family (including happy toddler and friendly, playful pup) live upstairs so normal everyday living noise will be heard. You will likely see us in the upper patio/yard when you’re arriving/leaving as you must walk across this space and around the far side of the house down a set of stairs to access the suite. The suite includes a newly renovated bedroom/living space with a queen sized bed, comfy loveseat, cozy rug and unique hand crafted wood counter. There is a small bathroom with small stand-up shower. The private entrance hallway offers enough space to store bikes, skis and other leisure equipment. Bright morning sunlight pours through a new sliding glass door that leads out onto your own private wood deck with serene mountain and city views. Enjoy a quiet morning coffee or a relaxing glass of local wine at the outdoor bistro table. The lower yard is a fully fenced, grassy space for you and your quiet, well behaved dog to enjoy. The driveway is tricky to find, and guests must walk all the way around the side of the house, down a set of large stairs, and across the lower deck to access the suite.
