The apartment is only a150 meter walk to the beach for those looking for a convenient location, private setting, with easy access to the center of Puerto Jimenez (3-minute car ride) and many other nearby beach and rainforest activities. The quiet, beachfront neighborhood is well known by locals and guides alike. The apartment shares a property with a larger house (also available for rent). The area, referred to by locals as Pueblo Viejo, Barrio Gaviotas, or Gringolandia, is well known as a quiet, convenient neighborhood for those looking to base their visit to the Osa close to the center of Puerto Jimenez, but still surrounded by tropical vegetation and wildlife. We are always available via WhatsApp to help plan your adventures or just navigate the local town's restaurants, shops, and stores. We have been helping visitors to the Osa for over 20 years. Pueblo Viejo, otherwise as Barrio Gaviotas or Gringolandia, is a quiet neighborhood beach community just minutes from the airport, the center of Puerto Jimenez, and the expansive beaches of Playa Preciosa. Hotels, both near and far, typically send their guest to kayak from our calm shores and ideal location to the Platanares River Mangroves- a must see for anyone visiting the Osa Peninsula. Having a car is ideal, though taxis are also readily available. If you do not have a car, we can help connect you to reliable, honest taxistas. Of course, we hope over the course of your stay, you will "get around" on foot, horseback, kayak, zipline, and boat:)
