Crown Cottage, Exford

Crown Cottage is a picture-postcard, end of terrace, thatched self-catering holiday cottage in the heart of Exford, in the centre of Exmoor National Park. It sleeps up to 4 guests across one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, with one shower room. The space Downstairs, the cosy sitting room has a stone-built fireplace and wood-burning stove, laid ready for your first fire, plus a window seat overlooking the village green, a smart TV with Freesat box and DVD player, WiFi, and a selection of board games and DVDs. A separate dining room has a pine table and four chairs, while the kitchen is well equipped with a full-sized electric cooker, fridge, washing machine and microwave. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a Victorian-style double bed with a luxury memory foam mattress, fitted wardrobe, bedside tables and a chest of drawers. The second bedroom has twin beds, a clothes rail, bedside table and built-in drawers. The shower room has a large shower cubicle, toilet, built-in vanity unit with electric shaver point, towel radiator and extractor fan. Outside, there is a lovely enclosed cottage garden with an outside table and chairs. Free on-street parking is available right outside, with a free public car park also just 100 metres away. Bed linen, towels, heating and electricity are all included, and hot water is provided by an under-sink electric heater. A small welcome pack is provided on arrival. Dogs are welcome (maximum of two) for a supplement of GBP 15 per dog, though they are not permitted on the furniture, upstairs (a stair gate is provided), or left unattended in the property. Guests should bring their own dog bed and towels. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the cottage or garden. Please note the property is not suitable for guests with restricted mobility and has no wheelchair access. Smoke and carbon-monoxide detectors are fitted throughout. Check-in is from 4pm, with departure by 10am.
