Pearly Beach is a serene coastal haven of endless white beaches and fynbos-covered dunes, a peaceful retreat to slow down, unwind, and escape life’s busyness. Uitwaaien, a Dutch word meaning “to take a break to clear one’s head” or literally “to walk in the wind”, to refresh body and mind. With Philip’s Dutch heritage and our time living in the Netherlands, Uitwaaien holds special meaning for us. It reflects what we hope every guest experiences here: a place to breathe, restore, and reconnect. The space Just a short 250m walk through the fynbos or down the street takes you to the pristine beach. Uitwaaien offers a sheltered patio with endless fynbos and sunset views, as well as a distant sea view — the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The home is ideal for a small family or couple, featuring a modern, newly built interior with three bedrooms and accommodation for up to six guests (recommended: maximum of four adults and children). Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 – Queen-size bed with shelving and hanging space Bedroom 2 – Queen-size bed with shelving and hanging space Bedroom 3 – Two bunk beds with drawers Bathrooms: Two bathrooms (one en-suite), both with showers and hand showers; one includes a bath. Kitchen: Fully equipped for a comfortable stay — including a gas hob, toaster, Nespresso machine, and coffee plunger. Entertainment: A smart TV (guests use their own login details) and plenty of board and card games for cozy evenings in. The open-plan lounge, dining, and kitchen area flows effortlessly onto the outdoor spaces through sliding doors — perfect for relaxed coastal living. Enjoy both indoor and outdoor braai/barbecue areas; the indoor braai doubles as a fireplace in winter, making it a welcoming space all year round. Included for your stay: beach and bath towels, hand towels, hand soap, and body wash. Additional features: alarm system, safe in the main bedroom, parking for two vehicles, and full, uncapped Wi-Fi. Pearly Beach has two local shops for essentials, but we recommend stocking up in Gansbaai before your arrival for a wider selection. Guest access Please note: No pets are allowed The cottage accommodates a maximum of 6 guests comfortably at a time. We recommend not more than 4 adults and children. Other things to note Braai/fireplace wood is available at R60 per crate of 20 pieces.
