100 year old stone cottage. Now with power and an inside toilet. Original timber flooring high ceilings and some original features. Each owner has added their own improvements and it can be fun to guess the era. is centrally located, a short walk to the main street, pubs, cafes etc. Established in 1919, she is oozing with character & charm! Comfortable, spacious rooms, sleeping up to 8 people. Wood fire in lounge. Pets and children welcome! The location of Violet Cottage is perfect for those who like their own private retreat, but like to be close to the town center and facilities. The main street, shops, pubs, cafe, library and playground are all within 1-2 minutes walk. Children and dogs are welcome and have room to play in the lawn area Guests will have access to the entire house and garden. There is one bathroom including the toilet. The shower is in the bathtub The high ceilings and brick walls keep the house lovely and cool in Summer. There are ceiling fans in most rooms. We can put portable air conditioners in the rooms during summer to help keep you comfortable. There is a cosy wood fire in the lounge to keep you warm in Winter, as well as heaters in all bedrooms. The town has a well maintained Olympic sized swimming pool and toddler pool open in the Summer months, about 5 mins walk. PLEASE NOTE: our rates are based on the number of beds/rooms used. If you are one couple or one person requiring just one room please select 1 guest. If you are 2 people requiring 2 ROOMS PLEASE SELECT 2 guests when booking. For all other bookings of 2 or more people please enter the number of guests staying when making the booking. NO CLEANING FEE CHARGED Extra guests $50/person/night. There is a porta-cot for infants available on request, linen included (extra $20) We also have space to put an extra bed on the floor if it is required. (Please inquire) Dogs $25 fee per dog per night. Dogs can sleep in the laundry. Doggy bowls for dry food and water are provided. There is a secure rear area. We ask that no pets are to go into the rooms with carpets/rugs or to go on any furniture. Please let me know if you’re bringing a pet.
