Your own little piece of paradise, where nature sets the pace and tranquility surrounds you. We are located directly across from Isla Gitana, just a five-minute kayak ride away. Complimentary kayaks and paddleboards are included, giving you the freedom to explore the coastline at your own pace. Spend the day taking a water taxi to Isla Chiquita for lunch, island-hopping to Playa Quesera or Playa Nancital to spot spider monkeys, exploring Curu Wildlife Refuge, hiking the Montezuma Waterfalls, or discovering secluded beaches such as Playa Blanca and Playa Muertos. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property, including the gardens, pool, beachfront, kayaks, and paddleboards. The property is yours to enjoy in complete privacy throughout your stay. I don’t live in the area, so you can enjoy complete privacy throughout your stay. Other things to note Before You Arrive **Please keep in mind that our home is located on a peaceful peninsula, surrounded by tropical jungle and nature. This is a rural area, so we recommend arriving prepared to make the most of your stay. We recommend a 4x2 vehicle for the most comfortable journey. That said, many of our guests have reached the property in standard cars without any problems; it ultimately depends on the driver’s experience and comfort level. Groceries We recommend buying groceries before arriving. If you’re coming from San José or Liberia, you can shop there before your trip. However, the most convenient option is Mega Super Paquera, located only 15 minutes from the house. Next to Mega Super you’ll also find a Banco de Costa Rica ATM. There is another supermarket in Paquera called Pali, where you can also find most essentials. GPS We highly recommend using Waze instead of Google Maps, as it provides much more accurate directions in this area. Accessibility Our home is wheelchair friendly. We have a portable wheelchair ramp available for access to the bedroom and to the beach. Please let us know in advance if you will need it. Pets Well-behaved dogs are welcome. If you plan to bring your pet, please let us know before your arrival. We usually accept up to two dogs, although exceptions may be possible upon request. We simply ask that all pets are friendly, well supervised, and respectful of the surrounding wildlife. House & Area Guide Before your arrival, we’ll send you our digital House & Area Guide. Please note that some boat taxis, local businesses, and tour operators accept cash only, so we recommend asking in advance. A Few Things to Remember One of the most special parts of staying here is experiencing nature exactly as it is. You’ll hear monkeys, tropical birds, frogs, insects, and all the beautiful sounds of the jungle. During the rainy season, tropical rain showers and thunderstorms are part of the experience and create an unforgettable atmosphere.
