The addition of covered daybeds and a barbecue area by the pool make this an ideal retreat all year round. The property is available to be booked on an exclusive use basis including a beautifully repurposed dairy neighbouring the main home. The Dairy is a separate private dwelling with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, a cozy fireplace, small pizza oven and plunge pool overlooking the grounds and hinterland. The Homestead kitchen is an entertainers delight, spacious and well equipped with 2 ovens and 2 dishwashers . The formal dining table suits 12 guests comfortably or dine alfresco overlooking the mountains and pool. The home features 2 separate living/dining areas as well as a casual entertainment/garage space. The formal lounge/ library with antique piano enjoys the ambience of the jet master double fireplace. Hillview is perfectly poised to enjoy expansive valley/mountain views and breezes. There is ducted reverse cycle air-conditioning throughout the entire home and fans. The extensive colonial verandas entice lazy afternoons relaxing in the hammock or reading by the pool. Take a 35 minute bike ride to the beach, have a surf/ coffee and then cool down in solitude by the pool. A short drive over Tomewin mountain (20 mins) into the Tweed Valley opens a world of art galleries and organic gourmet dining options. Byron Bay and the delights of Bangalow are a mere 45 minute scenic drive. Hillview is one of a kind, a snapshot of yesteryear with a modern twist. A perfect escape from reality, to retreat and relax, but close enough to enjoy the world class beaches and fine dining the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers offers. Guest access You will have access to the entire Hillview property, including the beautifully restored Homestead and the private, repurposed Dairy. The Homestead boasts expansive colonial verandas, multiple living and dining areas, a library with an antique piano, and a well-equipped entertainer’s kitchen featuring two ovens and two dishwashers. Outdoors, enjoy the 10-meter pool, covered daybeds, and an alfresco dining area with breathtaking valley and mountain views. The Dairy offers a cozy retreat with two bedrooms, a fireplace, a small pizza oven, and a plunge pool overlooking the hinterland. While the property is pet-friendly upon request (with an additional fee), please note that guests must remain within the designated Homestead and driveway areas, as roaming near livestock is not permitted. The spa is not operational but may be used as a plunge pool. Other things to note House rules - STRICTLY NO PARTIES. $5000 PENALTY (refer to terms and conditions) - no functions/weddings at this home. - Please respect our neighbours. Fines may apply for excessive noise if reported - If you break something, please let us know so that we can replace it for the next guests - All guests must complete the standard Luxico Guest Agreement A $5,000.00 Security Deposit will be required prior to check in. This will be charged to your nominated credit card as a Pre-Authorisation which will be released after you check out.
