Ocean Break: Classy oceanfront retreat

Ocean Break: location and style. Comfy bedroom, chic bathroom and separate, spacious, living/dining area. Peaceful, secure, unique location, fronting the ocean. Wander out the front gate and straight onto Surf Coast Walk, where magnificent coastal views can be enjoyed immediately. A 200 metre stroll to Jan Juc village and its eateries, hotel and general store, and just a few minutes more to Bird Rock look out, overlooking Jan Juc beach. A 5-7 minute drive to central Torquay or Bells Beach. The space The guest suite is a beautiful, restful space. Sparklingly clean, with split system heating/cooling and high end furnishings, fittings and bedding (queen size, with either blue French flax linen or white Egyptian cotton) providing for a cosy, comfortable and relaxing stay. The suite has a kitchenette, with a kettle, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee machine (NO kitchen - cooktop/oven/frying pan etc.). It is stocked with a selection of teas, coffee (pods and instant), milk and sugar. The living room includes a dining table, breakfast bar, couch and coffee table - with still more space to de-stress on the yoga mat. A separate office bench provides a dedicated work desk. The bathroom features a luxurious Aio Aurajet twin head shower. Architecturally designed, Ocean Break was purpose built for guests, and is not a converted bedroom. Our roof top balcony, accessible via an external staircase (2 flights), is a wonderful place to sit and relax, whilst enjoying uninterrupted, extensive sea (and valley/town) views. The location allows you to walk out the front gate and immediately enjoy views, walks or rides along the coastal track (Surf Coast Walk) between Torquay and Bells Beach. For those who prefer to chill, Netflix, Spotify etc. (user's own accounts) are available on the android t.v. in your bedroom (no t.v. in living area). Alternatively, use the suite as an ideal base to enjoy day trips along the Great Ocean Road and Bellarine Peninsula. For surfers, iconic Bird Rock and Steps surf breaks are a 10 minute walk and Bells Beach/Winki is a 5-7 minute drive. Guest access The guest suite is an extension attached to the rear of our house, separated by a locked door. It overlooks a shared back lawn (facing a cottage opposite), with both translucent and block out blinds to ensure your privacy whilst in the suite. You have a private entry (completely separate to the house entry) that is lockable from both inside and outside, with your own key. Entry to the property is via a gate that we also use. Access to the suite is not wheel chair accessible, as it has steps. Free street parking, directly opposite property. Check in from 3pm. Check out by 10am. Other things to note - Diversity and inclusion are important to us and everybody is welcome here (our property is not suitable for infants/children.) - We do not allow portable stoves, induction cooktops etc. and/or flames of any kind in the guest suite, as we do not have an extraction fan - and there isn't a stove/cooktop/frying pan - Ocean views can be enjoyed from the rooftop balcony (not your guest suite), as well as glorious sunrises and sunsets. (Being on the edge of the ocean, it is sometimes windy 'up top'!) - Half Moon Bay lookout is just a 1-2 minute walk - Jan Juc beach is 750 metres, via Little Bird Rock lookout carpark steps - You may see us wander across the lawn, working in the backyard or at the cottage opposite - We have a dog. Whilst she is young and sweet natured, we keep her away from guests - On occasion, guests may be accommodated in our upstairs suite (up one flight of stairs). It is identical to the downstairs suite, other than the dining table/couch location and does not have a dedicated work bench (as shown in photos). - For your privacy, we only host ONE booking (maximum of 2 guests and no couch surfers) at a time. - Strictly no pets/animals. - The price for your booking includes an Air Bnb commission of 14-16%, which Air Bnb no longer displays separately.
