Hot Spring Paradise at Mariposas

@TermalesLasMariposas is a magical place just 1.5 hours from Bogota with two large pools of private, totally natural hot springs with temperatures of 39C (102F). You'll be immersed in nature full of native trees, bromeliads, orchids, and a lily pond. This home is ideal for a group trip with a capacity for up to 10 guests. The pools are shared with guests if the other cabin is rented (max 4 people). The home features a fully equipped kitchen, several outdoor spaces, BBQ, and high-speed internet. The space The house has three floors, with a total of 4 bedrooms, so there is plenty of room to spread out. There is also a huge fully equipped kitchen (oven is out of order but we have a toaster oven) and a living room with an open floor layout and fireplace to hang out. However, one of the best features of this home is the glass entryway, a greenhouse-like space with two floors of unobstructed windows that immerse you in the surrounding forest. The common areas of the farm are shared with other guests if the other cabin is rented but there is a lot of outdoor space. There are TWO private hot springs to enjoy, each about the size of a large swimming pool. The landscaping surrounding the hot spring pools feels like you are in a private resort with the number of vibrant green tropical plants they have grown for the past 30 years. Natural hot springs are often praised for their health benefits such as blood circulation, stress reduction, pain relief, and improvement of skin problems. The water comes directly from the mountain and has high levels of iron and magnesium, which gives it its yellow tint. The temperature of the water comes out hot, which makes it perfect to enjoy during cold nights. The water has been cooled in the second pool so you can enjoy it more on a hot day and it has a roof over it to enjoy it even if it is raining. There is also an outdoor BBQ for cooking. Guest access The common areas of Termales Las Mariposas such as the pools, the BBQ area, the paths, and other open spaces will be shared with other guests staying at the property (the other cabin holds a maximum of three people). Please reserve through our other listing if you would like both houses to be private for you. Other things to note There are no restaurants near the property so you must bring all the food to cook. If you are interested in having your food cooked for you, we can arrange this with our caretakers, but we need to know in advance. The electricity will go out sometimes and this is completely out of our control. Please remember that this is a place to disconnect and fully enjoy nature. Please remember to bring coffee, oil, spices, shampoo, etc., as these are not provided. Please include the total number of guests and pets in your reservation before booking. Pets are welcome with a fee of 80,000 COP (in cash to our caretaker, Isabel for the extra cleaning). They are not allowed on sofas or beds, and you must pick up after them.
