Welcome to Fin's Surf Club. Fire Island & the nearby South Shore communities have a wonderful whaling, fishing and surfing history. The name of our house harks back to local lore of Leroy "Fin" Edwards in the early-1900's, around the time the house was constructed. Fin's is a home base to enjoy everything Fire Island has to offer. The house is perfectly situated on the ocean block (south of Midway) and just 450 feet from the beach, about a 1-minute walk. You will be a 3-minute walk to downtown Ocean Beach, filled with restaurants & shops. Enjoy a 4-minute walk to Seaview and a 15-min walk to Ocean Bay Park. (Note: We are located within the Village of Ocean Beach, which means a 6-night minimum stay is required.) Fin's is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath w/ outdoor shower bungalow sitting just 8 houses away from the beach. Renovated with modern comforts, our house sleeps 7 people (Queen, Queen, Bunk room with a Twin over Full). Upon arrival, you'll enjoy a fully stocked kitchen to cook for the family, with dining both indoors and out. Spacious, open living & dining areas for the entire family to gather with a smart TV for movie nights. The bedrooms are located off of the living area: bedroom 1 features a queen bed, bedroom 2 features a queen bed, and bedroom 3 features a twin over full bunk bed. All rooms have A/C units for comfy living on hot summer nights. The bathroom is located off of the dining area along with a full sized laundry room (washer + dryer). Walk through sliding glass doors onto the large deck located off of the dining room. An outdoor dining set & gas grill will be perfection for your Fire Island getaway. After dinner, head down onto the lower patio to enjoy an evening beverage. Come back from a day at the beach and enjoy the outdoor shower room - a quintessential Fire Island experience.
