Surrounded by olive trees and exotic Mediterranean plants in a scenic position close to the sea is Villa Minni. This relaxed holiday home on the north coast of Salento is ideal for two groups. It comprises a modern villa and a traditional trullo that dates back to the 19th century. A sandy beach and charming seaside atmosphere is just a five-minute walk away. And the town of Torricella with its shops, restaurants, bars and attractions is around 15 minutes away by car. A total of three double bedrooms are on offer at Villa Minni. Two are found in the main villa, with the third bedroom in the romantic, private trullo. The interiors of both homes are incredibly light and airy. White walls, natural materials, stone-wall features and soft furnishings in sandy tones all beautifully reflect the villa's country/coast setting. The villa enjoys an open living space that leads into the kitchen with the option of dining indoors. There's also a comfy outside seating area just by the trullo. There really is little distinction between indoors and outdoors at Villa Minni. Nestling in the tree, plant and herb-dotted gardens is a stone-walled pool terrace with outdoor seating for drinks and unwinding. The private swimming pool is certainly the place to be on hot days, with nothing better than a refreshing dip to cool off. Also featuring those beautiful stone walls is an outdoor kitchen/al fresco dining terrace shaded by a vine-draped pergola. The geographical perks of Villa Minni aren't just its outside space or the fact a gorgeous beach is just a five-minute walk away. A number of both inland and coastal towns and cities can also be easily reached. There's Taranto with its rich fishing and naval history, as well as an old town full of historic buildings. Also on the coast is the port city of Brindisi. Then there's hilltop Ostuni, otherwise known as 'The White City' due to its whitewashed buildings. Features: Main Villa Interiors - Open-plan living/dining room with sofas, TV table and chairs, dining table for four people, doors outside - Kitchen with oven, hob, fridge, freezer, toaster, wood fire oven - Bedroom with double bed - Bedroom with double bed - Bathroom with shower Trullo Interiors (independent access) - Bedroom with double bed, TV, mini-fridge and door to entrance - Bathroom with shower Outside Grounds  - Swimming pool (6m x 4m, max depth: 1.25m), open approximately mid-April to end-October - Garden (1000m²) with trees, plants, flowers, lawn, gravel courtyard areas - Pergola with outdoor kitchen, terrace with dining table for six people - Barbecue - Outdoor shower - Sun loungers and chairs, parasol and table and chairs - Terrace with outdoor seating - Parking Additional Facilities - Wi-Fi - Iron - Mosquito nets (bedrooms) - Highchair and baby cot (on request) Location: In scenic countryside close to a seaside village, Villa Minni offers the best of both worlds. Stroll through quiet lanes to reach the coast in just five minutes. There you'll find a stretch of beautiful sand and tucked-away coves lapped by clear waters. Enjoy swimming in the sea then getting lunch in one of the restaurants or cafes that line the street just behind the beach. For a greater choice of amenities, drive around 15 minutes north to the town of Torricella (7km). There's a post office, plenty of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. The most imposing feature of the town is the 15th-century tuff castle that's one of the best-preserved in the region. Torricella is most-known for its production of olives, olive oil, figs, wine and wheat. The coastal city of Taranto (35km) has a long naval and fishing heritage and is a fascinating place to pass a few hours. There are essentially two sides to the city, with a busier modern area and the old town. Highlights of the old town include the Aragonese castle and the 11th-century cathedral. Opposite the castle are remains of a Greek temple in the form of two Doric columns. These are the only visible signs left of the city's ancient Greek past. Around an hour's drive away from the villa are a couple of the famous Valle d'Itria towns; Ceglie Messapica (48km) and Martina Franca (56km). Enjoy spotting old churches and fine examples of Baroque architecture as you stroll along narrow, cobbled streets full of character. The cities of Ostuni (60km) and Brindisi (70km) are also about an hour away. And Lecce (71km) with its wealth of Baroque buildings and numerous other historic structures spanning the centuries is a 90-minute drive.
