Situated on the Wemyss Bay Holiday Park, this lodge is in a great location to explore the area and the perfect getaway for those who love a home from home holiday. The bustling seaside town of Largs is a short drive away and is a town on the Firth of Clyde in North Ayrshire, Scotland, about 33 miles from Glasgow. The original name means ‘the slopes’ in Scottish Gaelic. A popular seaside resort with a pier, the town markets itself on its historic links with the Vikings and an annual festival is held each year in early September; it also has shops, restaurants and a promenade. Take time to explore the islands of Cumbrae; Great Cumbrae is the larger of the two islands in the lower Firth of Clyde in western Scotland. The island is sometimes called Millport, after its main town. Home to the Cathedral of The Isles and the FSC Millport field study centre, the island has a community of 1,300 residents. Or take a trip to Arran and the Isle of Bute or catch a ferry to Dunoon and the Cowal Peninsula, which gives you great access to the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. There are great train links from the train station at Wemyss Bay to the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh for a great day out in the city. Locally it’s just a short walk from cafés, take aways and a pub/café within the train station to Glasgow, which is also the ferry terminal to Rothesay on the Isle of Bute. Beach 1 mile. Free WiFi Suitable for up to 1 pet
