You wish for relaxing peace and quiet? This might then be the perfect accommodation for your holidays in the Cilento. Other things to note Villa del Sole on Monte Sant'Antonio between Camerota and Marina di Camerota gives you relaxing seclusion in the midst of lush Mediterranean nature and a panorama that you can hardly look at. The space for the terrace of the approx. 60 square meter vacation home could hardly have been more beautiful. Under a magnificent olive tree you will find shade and enjoy a unique view. From the mountain village of Camerota down to the marina, which pushes out onto the sea as a small tip of land, you can look far into Calabria to the mountains of the Pollino National Park. If you are in front of the driveway to the property, you can even see the Stromboli on particularly clear days in the distance. For us, it was one of the special moments during our visit to the Marotta family at Monte Sant'Antonio. WELL-MAINTAINED COTTAGE WITH PRIVATE OLIVE GROVE Divided into a living/dining room with kitchen, two bedrooms and one bathroom, Villa del Sole can accommodate up to 4 people. Around the house is an approx. 7000 sqm property. The pretty, partly very old drying walls that run through the olive grove belonging to the house give this place a special Mediterranean flair. The cottage is entered via the living/dining area with fireplace. From the integrated kitchenette, you can always enjoy the panorama of mountains and sea while cooking. The living area leads into the adjacent bedrooms (double bed, 2 single beds). The well-kept bathroom has a washing machine, among other things. The windows of the bedrooms as well as those of the living room are provided with screens. Villa del Sole and the olive grove are completely fenced. You can park your car right in front of the house. Villa del Sole can also score with sustainability. This way, the power is completely autonomous via a photovoltaic system. PANORAMIC TERRACE, PIZZA OVEN & OUTDOOR KITCHEN The outdoor area of Villa del Sole is quite cozy. A long wooden table with benches is available for social evenings. Next to it is a large outdoor kitchen with pizza oven, brick charcoal grill, two gas hotplates and sinks. The entire area is covered and of course you can also look far out to the sea from here. However, the sun terrace in front of the house offers the perfect place to relax. A tall olive tree provides shade and creates a particularly idyllic ambience. Make yourself comfortable on the comfortable sun loungers and enjoy the spectacular views over the sea, the Cilento, the Basilicata and Calabria. Hardly any other holiday home will offer you such a breathtaking scenery. WALKING, BATHING & SHOPPING From Villa del Sole you can go directly to short and long Cilento hikes. Past the nearby chapel of Sant'Antonio, a path leads parallel to the coast directly to Palinuro. Also down to Marina di Camerota is worth the way to finally hike further towards Cala Bianca and Porto Infreschi. If you want to take a beach day, Marina di Camerota offers a wide choice of great swimming spots. The journey by car from the cottage to Marina takes about 15 minutes. In addition to the beaches of the place, Calanca and Lentiscelle, it is also worth a trip by boat to the coves Pozzallo, Cala Bianca and Infreschi. The Cooperativa Cilento Mare will take you back and forth from the harbor. You can do your shopping in Camerota, about 3 km away from Villa del Sole. There you will also find bars and restaurants, e.g. the Al Castello in the old Camerota castle. The Ammor e Mare restaurant in Via Coppola in Marina di Camerota offers a very good and traditional fish cuisine. *************************************************************** ENGLISH VERSION Villa del Sole on Monte Sant'Antonio between Camerota and Marina di Camerota is a secluded, peaceful refuge in the midst of lush Mediterranean nature and offers a panorama you can hardly keep your eyes off. The patio of the approx. 60 m² holiday home could not have been better placed. Enjoy a unique view while relaxing in the shade of a gorgeous olive tree. Let your eyes roam from the mountain village of Camerota down to Marina, which juts slightly out into the sea, and then on, far into Calabria, to the mountains of Pollino National Park. From the entrance to the property and on very clear days, you even spot Stromboli in the distance. We felt this to be one of the very special moments while we were at family Marotta's on Monte Sant'Antonio. WELL-TENDED HOLIDAY HOME WITH OLIVE GROVE Villa del Sole is surrounded by approx. 7,000 m² of premises. The lovely, partly very old dry stone walls traversing the villas olive grove add to the special Mediterranean atmosphere in this place. The house and the olive grove are completely fenced. You enter the holiday home into the combined kitchen-living-dining room with, among other things, a cozily furnished spot by the fireplace. The window in the kitchen area opens onto a panorama of the mountains and the sea. Villa del Sole has got two bedrooms (double bed; twin beds) and one bathroom (shower/toilet/bidet; hair dryer). The windows in the bedrooms as well as in the kitchen-living-dining room are fitted with fly screens. Further conveniences include air conditioning in the living area (extra charge for use), WiFi, satellite TV and washing machine. Villa del Sole has a sustainable source of electricity, a photovoltaic system. Parking is available right in front of the house. PANORAMA TERRCE, PIZZA OVEN & OUTDOOR KITCHEN The outdoor area of the holiday home is quite cozy and comfortable. In an inviting, completely roofed area right next to the house, from where your gaze of course roams far out to sea too, you can gather round the long wooden table (with benches) to spend pleasant evenings outdoors and prepare your meals in the large outdoor kitchen with pizza oven, brick charcoal grill, double burner gas hot plate and sink. The sun patio out front is an idyllic spot and the perfect place for relaxing, either in the sun or in the pleasant shade of the tall olive tree. Make yourself comfortable on the loungers and enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of the sea, the Cilento, the Basilicata and Calabria. Another holiday home which offers such a breathtaking panorama might be hard to find. HIKING, SWIMMING & SHOPPING From Villa del Sole, you can start on either short or long hiking tours through the Cilento landscape. Passing nearby chapel Sant'Antonio, follow the trail along the coastline to Palinuro. Or walk down to Marina di Camerota and, perhaps, continue on to Cala Bianca and Porto Infreschi. Should you want to spend a day at the beach: Marina di Camerota has got a good choice of great bathing spots and it takes you only about 15 min. by car to get there. Besides going to the town's beaches Calanca and Lentiscelle, you might also take a boat trip to the bays of Pozzallo, Cala Bianca and Infreschi. Cooperativa Cilento Mare offers trips there and back; their boats depart at the harbor. Shopping facilities are found about 3 km from Villa del Sole, at Camerota, where there are also bars and restaurants, for example Al Castello in Camerota's old castle. Ammor e Mare in Via Coppola at Marina di Camerota offers very good and traditional fish cuisine.
