Book your stay with us to experience all that Tacoma has to offer in comfort and style. The space Welcome to our VRBO basement guest suite! We wanted to share our awesome location with travelers, so we converted our basement to a guest suite. We live in the main house above, so we will usually be available if you need any assistance or local recommendations. But don't worry, we give our guests their privacy. We also provide the luxurious amenity of earplugs for our guests, which helps with a good night's rest or a lazy afternoon nap. The fully stocked kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook meals during your stay, including a pour over coffee maker and Nespresso machine for your morning cup of coffee. We also provide free coffee to our guests. There are two bedrooms in the basement suite, each with a king-sized bed and closets with hangers for your clothes. The living room area is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, with a comfortable couch and a smart TV for your entertainment. We also have board games available for a fun night in. For your convenience, we have a washer and dryer available for use in the basement. The Bluetooth speakers in the ceiling fans in the bathroom and laundry room allow you to enjoy your favorite music while you freshen up or do laundry. For temperature control, we have a circulator fans, standing space heaters, and a wall heater. Our basement unit stays comfortably cool in the summer and the heating amenities help bring warmth to the space in the winter. The highlight of our VRBO space is the backyard space, complete with a therapeutic softub that can be used from 9am to 10pm. It's the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing or to relax in the evening. This space is shared with your host. The bathroom features two sinks and a rainfall shower, providing a luxurious experience during your stay. We hope you enjoy your stay in our cozy and comfortable VRBO basement suite! DISCLAIMER! Please note that while our basement suite is cozy and comfortable, some of the ceilings may be on the lower side. If you're a vertically gifted individual, you might need to watch your head! But don't worry, we provide complimentary ice packs for any unintended head bumps. ;) Lastly, the front door to the basement is somewhat stiff due to weather proofing material. A nice firm push or pull is all that is needed to open or close it. Guest access You will have a private entrance to the guest suite. As mentioned prior, the backyard is a shared space with your host. On occasion, we will use the hot tub or soak up the sun on the deck. Other things to note There is no AC in our guest suite. The reason being is that it is generally cooler in the basement. Summers can reach the mid-90s here, but it cools off fast in the evening. We do provide portable fans to circulate air, which speeds up the cooling process. Central heating is controlled upstairs by your host. In the fall and winter, when it is cold, we run the heater in the morning and in the evening, turning it off before we go to bed. For your comfort, we have two powerful space heaters that heat up rooms well. We have quiet hours between 9pm and 9am. This doesn't mean that you can't have a late movie night, cook a midnight snack, or take a dip in the hot tub. We would ask you to refrain from talking above the noise level of a normal conversation, playing music on the provided Bluetooth speakers, or blasting the TV volume. Lastly, the breaker panel is downstairs. We don't usually have issues with breakers tripping, but if that ever happens, we will pay the guest suite a visit to reset it after giving you appropriate notification. Again, we really value our guests privacy and want you to feel comfortable.
