Hilltop House
Hilltop House
Description
Comfortable 3bd/2bath home 20 minutes from Asheville and 15 minutes from Black Mountain. Quiet, peaceful location with a beautiful view, sun deck, and spacious yard. The space This home is clean, well maintained, and beautiful. You will have the privacy of staying in a rural mountain environment but are really only minutes from town. There are fpur bedrooms that can sleep 7. The primary bedroom has a queen bed and private bathroom, as well as a wrap around porch. The other two upstairs rooms share a bathroom- one has a queen bed and a beautiful view of the mountains, the other has a full size bed. There is a spacious, fully equipped kitchen, a lovely sitting room and separate dining room. Outside you'll find a beautiful patio and a firepit. Downstairs you will find a small bathroom, laundry room, and an additional bedroom with a twin bed and television. Please note that the downstairs bedroom does not have windows. Guest access Close to great hiking trails, the Swannanoa River and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Other things to note The indoor fireplaces are nonfunctional. If you use it, the house will fill up with smoke and you will be left with a hefty cleaning bill. Fires outside only please! For firewood for the outdoor fire pit: there is a neighbor that sells wood. You will see his big yellow sign on the way to the house. Follow the signs and stock up as needed. The curtains on bedroom windows are not black out curtains. For stays longer than 3 days: I will provide you with a "starter pack" of toilet paper, soaps, shampoos, dish detergent, etc. Once these amenities are used up it is the guests' responsibility to procure your own essentials. I do not provide any paper or disposable products other than toilet paper. This home is rural and surrounded by flower gardens and farmland. On occasion and despite my best efforts, a bug, spider or other nature loving creature may wander inside, especially if doors or windows are left open. Bugs, snakes, bears, ad other critters thrive in these mountains so it's likely you'll see some during your stay. This area was heavily impacted by Hurricane Helene. A tornado hit this house, and while the house has been repaired the woods have not! You will see many downed trees behind the house.
