Work from home with a view, or enjoy skating, snowmobiling, walking on a frozen Chemong Lake in the winter. In the fall, take in the spectacular colors and hike nearby trails. For the not-so-adventurous use family friendly indoor games and entertainment for an enjoyable stay. Available from mid October to mid May. Furnished 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath, spacious kitchen, dining & living with fireplace and beautiful views of the lake. Up for a winter day campfire? We have a firepit by the lake. The space Our spacious cottage sleeps 6 comfortably in 3 bedrooms, and is centrally heated/air conditioned. If you are a bigger group, a 4th bedroom is available with an additional fee per guest. This is in the adjacent unit (bathroom access in main unit), and is connected via the deck. The 4th bedroom has an electric fireplace and a plug-in heater. There is a washer and dryer in the main unit, as well as a propane BBQ on the deck. Step out on the deck to take in the expanse of the frozen lake, and to breathe in the crisp winter air. The Kawartha region has over 160 kms of groomed routes through breathtaking trails of snow laden pines and maples. Explore these through snowshoeing and snowmobiling winter activities. Bring your own or rent in the many rentals available in the Peterborough area. The world’s longest outdoor skating rink is a 15 minute drive away in Lakefield. The Peterborough locks with its idyllic and historic setting provides another skating option. Step out from the cottage waterfront for a walk on the frozen lake, or set up your ice fishing gear for a day of fishing. The Selwyn conservation area which is a couple of minutes’ drive has winter walking trails. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage and the waterfront patio. There is enough room to park more than 4 cars. Other things to note Neighborhood does not allow for noisy or wild parties.
