Lavender cottage, one of the three independent residences of Chroussiano Farmhouse, sets in an organic orchard, amid blossoming geraniums and olive trees, with unobstructed views to the endless Aegean blue and the nearby pine wood of Chroussa village. Built out of love and respect for the environment, it follows the Cycladic architectural tradition and radiates a homely warmth helping our guests feel in harmony with the Cycladic countryside landscape. The space A spacious residence of 60 sq m, with unobstructed views to the nearby pine wood and the endless Aegean blue. Meet the sheltered little patio with its lavenders and the emblematic palm tree, a hospitable spot any time of day. “Skepana” is the word we use in Syros for any part of the house whose orientation keeps it protected from the wind, the rain or the hot sun, and there is no better description for this patio. On the ground floor you will find the living room, the kitchen, the bathroom and the bedroom with its double bed. A marble table dining suite, a kerosene lamp with a turquoise opal glass and ceramic art objects give this space its distinguishing character. Climb the wooden ladder in the living room and you will find yourself on a loft, a favourite spot with all of our guests, little or grown-up. The view of the surrounding farm and sounds echoing from the village will make you reluctant to leave this little “nest at the top”. There is more chance for play in the backyard under the palm tree, where a stone table, scattered logs, various toys and a swing hanging from an inviting olive tree await our little friends. Guest access Take a walk around our organic farm and pick figs, lemons and vegetables, help us in picking olives, almonds, grapes and herbs...or just relax and let yourself be inspired of the nature beauty.
