Domaine de Bagard – Fig Tree Cottage 55 m² 4/8 pers

The Domaine de Bagard is the legacy of an old hamlet of the medieval village of Sauve. It then became a magnanerie (silkworm farm). It covers 11 hectares, on the side of a hill of garrigue, typical of the Cévennes foothills. In the middle of the Domaine flows a natural spring (a true Vauclusian-type resurgence) and below the Vidourle river. In this setting of old stones and nature, 22 authentic and sometimes very picturesque cottages are waiting for you. The space We have 7 identical Figuier cottages at the bottom of the Domaine. The Figuier cottage is a semi-detached house of 55 m² with private garden overlooking the garrigue and its rocks. The garden has furniture for lunch in the shade of the trees. Separate kitchen equipped with fridge-freezer, electric stove, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, Senseo coffee machine... The bathroom is equipped with a shower and toilet. The living room is equipped with a sofa, 32-inch TV A bedroom with a 140 cm bed A second with two 90 cm beds A sofa convertible into a 140 cm bed in the living room and a small children's room with 2 90 cm bunk beds. > In the cottages, the end-of-stay cleaning is not included. You can do it yourself or subscribe to the cleaning option: €90 per stay Please note that even with the cleaning option, cleaning the kitchen and removing the garbage cans are still your responsibility. Cleaning products and household equipment are provided (vacuum cleaner, broom, floor washer) + 1 essential kit including sponge, washcloth, dishwasher tablet and a roll of toilet paper (you can buy it at the Domaine supermarket in July-August) > Duvets and pillows are available but bed and bath linens are optional (you can come with your own): our 100% cotton linen is provided and washed by a laundry and packaged under protective film. - Bed linen kit 90 cm: €12 per bed/stay - Bed linen kit 140 cm: €18 per bed/stay - Towels: €7 per person/stay > We accept a maximum of one dog per gîte (no dogs categorized 1 or 2) for an additional €25 per stay. Be sure to protect the sofas with a plaid or blanket and keep your pet on a leash in the presence of other vacationers. No cats are allowed. IMPORTANT: a security deposit of €400 is required for this gîte. Guest access Staying at Domaine de Bagard means living like a small village, at the same time peaceful, authentic, rejuvenating and where the key word is conviviality. To enhance your stay, there are two swimming pools from May to October (including one for children), a gym, a petanque court, volleyball, football/basketball, a ping pong table, and the famous Guinguette (in July and August), the ideal place to spend real moments of conviviality between hosts, next to the pools, under the trees, around an aperitif board and a drink. You can organize your grill party thanks to the BBQ at your disposal (in return we will ask you to take your drinks at the bar) Every week in July-August, a pizza truck and burger truck will visit us at the Domaine! Also available, two washing machines and a coin-operated dryer (on sale at the Guinguette): €5 per wash, €3 per drying, €1 per dose of detergent For your peace of mind, we have equipped the entire pool area and Guinguette with formidable machines that capture mosquitoes in the surrounding area. Free Wi-Fi is available outside the cottages, at the pool, games room and the guinguette. Due to the thickness of the walls (sometimes 1 meter!), it is unfortunately not guaranteed inside the gites. Maybe this is a good time to get off your smartphone ;-) Other things to note IMPORTANT: - Never let your young children walk around alone without supervision in the Domaine. The dry stone walls, the spring, the pool, the waterfall, the rocky headlands are as beautiful as they are dangerous for carefree children. - The gym is off-limits to minors - Swimming in the pools is not supervised: your children must always be under your supervision and responsibility - Smoke only on your terrace and crush your cigarette in the ashtray.
