Stunning Pool House with garden, pool, BBQ, Wi-Fi.

Beautiful Pool House, set in the mountains, close to Braga and Guimarães. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (the 2nd on a terrace below the pool), kitchen, sitting/dining room with bi-fold doors out to pool. Satellite TV in the living room and kitchen. Netflix. Wood burner, Central Heating. Large salt-water tiled pool, with solar shower. Stunning views. Pool illuminated at night. Fire pit in garden. Free wood. Private car park Welcoming snack on arrival. Kitchen well stocked. Good restaurant nearby. The space Set in the middle of a vineyard but only 15 minutes from the historic cities of Braga and Guimarães. The view is beautiful, over the mountains and distant villages. The pool adds a feeling of calm and serenity. It is illuminated at night time. It measures 12m x 6m. Guests are welcome to enjoy the fire pit, and can roast marshmallows (provided) on the embers. Guests arrive to a tasty snack. There is a Nespresso coffee machine and guests can help themselves to coffee/ tea. A farm, part way up a mountain, with good access. 15 minutes from Braga and 25 minutes from Guimarães . Guests can pick their own fruit and are offered eggs from the free-range chickens. They are also given a bag of fresh bread rolls every day from the bread man who passes the house in his van. No extra charge. The area is steeped in history - 2 Celtic settlements nearby, 5 churches in the space of 3 kms, gardens and parks. The beach is 35 minutes drive away, so very accessible. Virginia keeps an up to date list of local attractions, restaurants, walks etc. But maybe the best part of the holiday is waking up to the splendid view, taking a dip in the pool and popping down to the local (very reasonably priced) restaurant for lunch! Braga has a beautiful municipal market where you can go and buy all your goodies - wine, cheese, fruit, fish, meat, flowers etc - a treat to pop into town, get your fresh produce and come home and either BBQ or have a wine and cheese tasting If you like the peace of the countryside but to be close to bigger cities, this is a great base. The owners, who live in the farmhouse just above the Pool House are there to give recommendations, but the house is independent and everyone has their privacy. From the house, it's possible to walk through the forest to Sameiro in 35 minutes and on from there to Bom Jesus, another 15 minutes. The owners have a little flock of Cameroon sheep, who you'll see in the fields below the Pool House. You can go and see them up close if you want to join Virginia when she goes to feed them morning and night. Most people love the detail in this house - it feels like a well thought out, much loved real home. It's pretty in the summer and also in the winter. Guest access Guests renting the Pool House have the whole house, garden in front and behind, a patio where there is a tank with gold fish and a patio near the second bathroom, on a terrace below the pool. There is a swing in the garden in front of the farmhouse - free for all to use. There is a table tennis table in front of the main farmhouse - again, Pool House guests are free to use it. Guests can join Virginia when she goes for dog walks in the forest behind the house, and when she goes to feed the sheep. Regarding parking - not a problem here. They have a car park just for them, 30 seconds walk from the Pool House. Other things to note The main farmhouse has a holiday apartment which the owners rent out - please note, the ground floor apartment has its own pool, terrace, BBQ etc and it is totally independent of the Pool House. (Yes, we have 2 pools). The pools are far apart so one does not impact on the other. The table tennis table and the swings in front of the house are shared. The road up to the house is quite steep - but once you've done it once you're fine. There's very little traffic.
