Apartment with Spectacular Lake View

We offer a very nice, sunny and comfortable apartment at the top of the hill in Zurich Witikon, District 7 area. Far enough from the city noise but close enough to be there in 20 minutes. It’s located inside a 3 family house recently renovated. We have experience hosting visitors as well relocating families until they find a new home, you can register your address here and receive post from the city. If you’re looking, we are also open for long term rental contracts. The space The apartment has a modern kitchen fully equipped including induction stove and a bathroom with a Geberit bidet plus a big bathtub for your enjoinment. There are two balconies, one looking forward to the lake and the other at the back of the kitchen. We have king beds(180x200cm) in all rooms. The living room has a smart TV, also a dining table for 6 persons. In summer you will also have access to the garden, including the pergola and grill. We are located on a very quiet dead end street that’s only driven by the residents and delivery or service vehicles. The bus stop that leads from and to the main station (Zurich HB) is 250m away but if you prefer driving we have a parking and EV charger. Supermarkets(ALDI, Denner & Migros) and a pharmacy are 280m away in a shopping mall and if you like jogging or nature, the forest with a river is at the end of the street. If you’re relocating with kids the Langmatt public school is 500 meters away. The Inter-Community School Zürich is at 15 minutes driving. Nearby in the woods there is a playground, a sport centre and a tennis club. If you like golf, the Zürich Golf & Country Club is also a 15 minutes drive. The hospital is a 10 minutes drive. Guest access The apartment is located on the second floor. All the apartment is yours when you book, you will have a private entrance, also access to a shared garden and a pergola with a grill (only on summer). Other things to note Who is this apartment for? This apartment is ideal for families or business travellers. We are on a residential area, just far enough to avoid the city noise but close enough to be on the city centre in about 20 minutes. If you’re a family with kids or just a nature lover that enjoys a silent neighbourhood, this apartment is for you. My train/airplane arrives early or leave late can I check-in early or check-out late? Remember, you're renting per night, not per day. The check-in time is at 15:00(3:00pm) and your private code to enter the apartment only starts to work at that time, if you’re arriving early, we can store your luggage at the basement, but you can only enter the apartment at 15:00(3:00pm). The reason is because we need to clean between every guest so you can have a clean and nice apartment when you enter. The same thing applies at the check-out time. The apartment must be empty at 10:00(am) so we can get it ready for the next guests. If your flight or train leaves later, we can store your luggage, then you can come to pick it up when is your time to leave. If you need to check-in very early (ie. 8:00) or check-out very late (ie. 22:00) we recommend you to book also the night before or after if possible, that way you will have a guarantee that the apartment will be available for you. If you arrive let's say on a Sunday 21st at 7:00 in the morning at the airport and you will like to come here and enter directly, the best way to guarantee that we will not have guest leaving that morning will be for you to book your dates from Saturday 20th. The same for your departure, if you flight leaves the Saturday 26th at 22:00 and you want to remain in the house until that time you better book until Sunday 27th. How does the parking works? We offer one free parking spot per apartment. If you come with more than one car, street parking (blue zone) can be used following the city of Zurich rules: • Free from 19:00 to 9:00 • During the day, limited to one hour. Plus the half hour already started • Free all day on Sundays and holidays. • If you plan to park on the street outside the rules, you must purchase a parking ticket from the city of Zürich. Whoever doesn't stick to the street rules can expect a parking fine of CHF 40 or more by the police. How does the EV-Charger works? If you come with an electric vehicle, we have a semi public Type2 11Kw EV charger. In order to use it you need to install an app and have with a payment method. How far is the house from the airport? About 20 minutes by car and about 40 minutes by public transport. What’s the nearest bus station? Waserstrasse at 250 meters (820ft) away. What’s the nearest train station? Zurich HB (Central Station) at 20min bus ride from our stop (Waserstrasse). Or Zürich Stadelhofen, you can also take the bus there, but you have to walk around 500 meters after the bus stop. At what time the bus stops working? The normal bus works until 00:00 (12:00am) and it arrives every 7 minutes, after that there is a night bus that works until 5:00 (am) but it’s a longer route and takes about one hour to arrive here. Do you have TRAM? There are several TRAM lines on this side of the lake, however they don’t reach our neighbourhood, you'll always have to take a bus to come here. Does UBER work in Zurich? Yes, it does. Can I get a train to other cities like Basel and Bern from the Central Station? Of course! There are trains to everywhere in Europe. Is the kitchen fully equipped? Yes, it is (Read the amenities section). What’s the nearest Supermarket? We have 3 Supermarkets all located behind the house in a shopping mall at 280 meters (980ft), those are Aldi, Denner and Migros. Are there any restaurants around? There is small restaurant/coffee shop on the shopping mall behind the house. Remember this is a residential area, so if you fancy something more exquisite, we recommend you to go downtown where you will find more variety. Also, services like UberEats and others work here and you can order anything from a variety of restaurants around. How far is the lake? We are not in close walking distance to the lake, walking there will take you about 45 minutes. Consider also that we are on a hill, so the walk down is easier than the return walk. That said the bus can let you on a close walking distance from the lake. The best spots on this side of the lake for bathing or family activities are Strandbad Tiefenbrunnen and the Chinagarten. How reliable is the internet connection? The internet speed is 1Gbit/s. Your connection speed through Wi-fi may vary depending on how far from the access point you are.
