Two houses attached to each other - sleeps 11

Two stone houses with separate entrances but joined to each other on the side wall. Ideal for a large get together of family or friends. There is a garden gate for access between the two properties. Both houses are light and airy and comfortably furnished. Wonderful open views from the garden and heated swimming pool over fields and vineyards to the Gironde Estuary. The space Lovely rural area just one mile from local shops with boulangerie and co-op and small twice weekly market. Lovely views from the property which has several fruit trees and established vegetable garden from which visitors are invited to enjoy whatever is ready to eat at the time of their visit. There are lots of different areas in the garden for sitting in the sun or relaxing in the shade. When both houses are rented together the gite occupants may of course share the heated swimming pool which normally is for the private use of the main house. There is a paved area all around the pool with sunbeds and parasols and a dining area with table and chairs. Facilities around the pool area include a sink with kettle and coffee maker and all dining equipment and a fridge. There is a built in gas barbecue and table tennis table in the pool area. The pool itself is 10m x 6m with curved steps at the shallow end and a jet spa system, like a sort of jacuzzi. The pool has a gentle slope and is approximately 1m 800 (6 ft) deep at the deep end. There is a solar shower at the poolside. The pool has an electrically operated safety cover which should be used when there are children around and the pool isn't being used. Guest access The gite has a small enclosed garden with a gate leading to the open garden of the main house and the swimming pool. Other things to note Nearest restaurants are at the nearby ports of Port Maubert and Mortagne ...just a few minutes away. There is drinks and restaurant/snack bar in the market place at St. Fort run by a very pleasant but whacky American lady .
