Fattoria di Peruzzo, Podere Belvedere, Apartment Il Lago The apartment "Il Lago", part of Podere Belvedere, gets its name from the lake of Belvedere that is immediately below the road that leads to the Serratina. The space The apartment is on two floors joined by stone staircase inside. The building goes back to the end of the 19th century and was restructured in 2003 for the farm holiday business. From the apartment you can enjoy a beautiful view of the whole Maremma, on the lawn rocks have been placed functioning as seats just for the enjoyment of the view. On the front of the house a pergola of grapevines is found with a terracotta paved area for tables and chairs. Another pergola is found at the back with a stone paved courtyard that is directly accessed from the kitchen. In the courtyard there is an old stone fountain and in the wall the niche for the barbecue. The apartment is on two floors connected by a stone staircase. On the ground floor you find the living-dining room with a fireplace, the kitchen, a twin bedroom and a small bathroom with washing machine. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms (one with a four-poster bed), a twin bedroom and two bathrooms, one with bathtub and one with a shower. Guest access Peruzzo farm lies in the heart of the ancient PERUZZO ESTATE which extends from the valley amongst vineyards, olive groves, cork-oak woods and Mediterranean bush up to the castles of Montemassi, Roccatederighi and Sassofortino. Situated at 300 metres above sea level, and at about 35 kilometres from the sea, the farm dominates the under-laying valley and spreads over more than 500 hectares of beautiful unspoiled countryside. Peruzzo farm offers a truly relaxing holiday, far from the crowds and the traffic in an atmosphere that only the typical beauty of the Tuscan hills can give. You can choose from a wide range of activities, very suggestive nature paths, to be explored on foot, or by bike, or you may prefer to relax by the pool or doze in complete peace under the shade of the ancient old trees or under a pergola. Within easy reach you have the sea and many places of artistic importance, the archaeological sites and areas of natural beauty for which Maremma is famous. Part of the ancient estate, surrounded by its own park, is available to guests. Other things to note On the estate there are various wild animals of the region such as deer, fallow buck, mouflon, and wild boar can be seen in enclosures. Guests’ horses are welcome. The produce of the farm, extra virgin olive oil,wine,honey etc. can be purchased on site. The mild climate of this region means that even in winter a pleasant holiday can be enjoyed, far from the fog and smog of the city. Peruzzo is the ideal spot where children can become familiar with nature at its finest, and by seeing the various domestic and wild animals in their natural habitat learn to love and respect them.
