Casa Samachiy was Inaugurated in April 2015, in the heart of the Sacred Valley of Cusco, Peru. The name Samachiy means "to rest" in the local native Quechua language and the aim was truly to create a place for guests to relax and enjoy the spiritual and peaceful surroundings of the Sacred Valley. The house has three bedrooms, with two double beds and two single beds, two baths, an open kitchen, dining area and a living room. Guests also have access to a garden, BBQ and a fire pit. We are happy to assist with taxi services and putting you into contact with local tourist agencies. My mother-in-law lives next door and will be there welcome you, show you around the house and prepare amazing food if you like! She is probably the nicest person in the valley and will gladly help you with any inquiries you might have. In addition, we are just a quick message away in case you have something more specific in mind. :) Huaran is great as it is really in the heart of the Sacred Valley, close to all major touristic sites but still not in the busy centers where all tourists pass every day. You have easy access to everything but after a long day you get the chance to relax and rest in a calm and quiet surrounding. A three minute walk to the main road where one can catch a public transport to Calca, Urubamba or even Cuzco. A private driver can also easily be arranged upon request. Breakfast is not included in the daily rate but we provide a complimentary breakfast basket for the first morning. In addition, we can prepare you fantastic home made Peruvian lunches or dinners upon request, for a cost of USD 12 dollars per meal per person (this includes a starter, a main dish, dessert and a beverage) . If you are interested in learning how to prepare your favourite Peruvian dish, we will be happy to organise an informal cooking class for you! We will clean the house, change sheets and towels every third night, but can arrange this more often for an additional charge. There is also a possibility for laundry services upon request. The fee for use of the laundry and detergent is USD 6 dollars per load and the washing and folding service cost USD 12 dollars per load.
